Gatlinburg is known as an extremely family friendly place, with lots of things to do for all ages. A place where children have numerous options to keep them entertained. While families are extremely important to our area we do understand that there will be times when you leave the kids at home or don’t have any children to begin with! There will also be special occasions that are being celebrated during your time spent here in the mountains that will be for adults only. Our area does not have the reputation for a thriving night life, but if you look you can find where to go for an adult themed evening of enjoyment. With that in mind, here is a list of places that offer a more adult experience, someplace to go to celebrate or unwind.
6 places that each offer a spot to kick back and enjoy a night on the town are:
Blaines – right in the heart of the downtown area, located at the corner of the Parkway and Airport Road at Light #8. You will enjoy all the memorabilia and might even enjoy a dance or two. There is also a wonderful balcony with Mountain views.
Pucker’s Sport’s Grill – no frills here, but plenty of TV’s to watch the latest game or amuse yourself by shooting a game of pool or throwing a round of darts.
Smoky Mountain Brewery – Housemade beers are on tap, numerous TV screens to watch your favorite games. While there sample some delicious burgers, pizza and other munchies
Loco Burro – This Mexican restaurant in the middle of the strip offers a wonderful rooftop patio with fire pit and gives you the opportunity to people watch. Inside if you are feeling spunky, you might want to take a spin on the Mechanical Burro!
3 Jimmys – This restaurant is not on the strip , but is located out Hwy 321 at the intersection of the East Parkway and Glades Road, behind Subway. It has live music, the best burgers in town, and even an outdoor seating area.
Red Oak Bistro - a wine and tappas bar in the Arts and Crafts Community. Greek inspired Finger-Foods and craft beers are aslo offered along with homemade, brick over pizzas. Don't miss the coolest place to hang out in Gatinburg.
So after a long day of hiking or if your favorite sports team is playing, check out one of the above places and have a relaxing evening in Gatlinburg. Taxi service is available in the downtown area, so ask your desk clerk for recommendations.
