The inside was accommodating for the 6 of us that stayed. If you like narrow winding roads this place is definitely for you. Got to have a nice outside fire the evening before we left.Lisa K from Port Charlotte, FL - Posted: 6/12/2026
Thank you so much, Lisa! We are so glad to hear that Bearfootin' Too was a comfortable and accommodating fit for your group of six and that you were able to enjoy a nice fire the evening before you left -- there is truly nothing better than an outdoor fire in the Smoky Mountains! We love your sense of humor about the winding roads -- they really do add to the whole mountain adventure experience and most guests find their footing with them quickly! We are glad it did not put a damper on your stay! We would love to welcome you and your group back -- whether at Bearfootin' Too or one of our other cabins -- the next time the Smokies are calling your name. We love the bear foot in’ cabin. The Hot Tub was ready for when we arrived. The back porch was screened in and we loved the rocking chairs. Our bed was comfortable and the beddings were nice. The cabins were well stocked with dishes for cooking and serving. We would love to visit again. There is plenty of room for more people but it was just my husband and me. The host was very attentive. Loved this cabin!Beth M from El Dorado, AR - Posted: 6/8/2026
Thank you so much, Beth! We are so thrilled to hear that Bearfootin' Too was such a wonderful retreat for you and your husband! A hot tub ready and waiting on arrival, a screened in back porch with rocking chairs, comfortable beds, beautiful bedding, and a well stocked kitchen -- it sounds like every detail came together just perfectly for a cozy and relaxing getaway! We love that the cabin felt spacious and comfortable even for just the two of you -- it really does make for such a special and luxurious experience when you have all that room to spread out and enjoy! We would love to welcome you both back -- whether at Bearfootin' Too or one of our other cabins -- the next time the Smokies are calling your name. My husband, 3 of our friends and I stayed in “Bearfootin’ Too” and had the most peaceful stay! The chalet was in a great spot, pushed to the back and away from the main road which is just what we wanted. The chalet was described just as it was. Plenty of space for our party of 5, had a fully stocked kitchen, and fun amenities like a hot tub and fire pit. The host was extremely responsive and detailed in directions. Would definitely recommend this to anyone and stay here again!Olivia T from Anderson, SC - Posted: 5/26/2026

There was some miscommunication with the cleaning crew. We arrived two hours after check in time and still had to wait an hour for the cleaning to finish before we could check in. The host was responsive and professional. The hot tub was not clean upon arrival but the host sent someone over right away to address the situation. All things considered it was a great stay.Greg C from Asheville, NC - Posted: 5/12/2026
Thank you so much, Greg! We are so glad to hear that despite a rocky start you were still able to enjoy a great stay at Bearfootin' Too -- that truly means a lot to us and we do not take it for granted! We sincerely apologize for the delay in getting you checked in and for the hot tub not being up to standard upon your arrival. Those are not the first impressions we ever want our guests to have and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience, especially after a long trip to the mountains. We are glad our team was able to respond quickly to address both situations and we will absolutely be working with our cleaning crew to make sure this does not happen again for future guests. It means so much to hear that communication felt responsive and professional throughout -- we always want our guests to feel taken care of even when things do not go perfectly, and we appreciate your patience and grace in handling the situation so kindly. We would love the opportunity to welcome you back -- whether at Bearfootin' Too or one of our other cabins -- and to give you the seamless arrival experience you deserved from the start. We hope to see you back in Gatlinburg very soon, Greg!Mountain Laurel Chalets staffPosted: 5/12/2026
We loved our stay! One of the best parts was the screened in back deck. We didn’t have to worry about kids losing their toys off of the deck. The space was great. My only “complaint” was the upstairs bedroom got a little warm in comparison to the rest of the cabin, but they provided a portable fan/heater so it all worked out. They were responsive to all messages!Hillary M from Fort Wayne, IN - Posted: 5/8/2026
Thank you so much, Hillary! We are so happy to hear that you and your family loved your stay at Barefootin Too! That screened in back deck is truly one of our favorite features of that property -- it is such a great space for families, and we love that it gave you and the kids a little extra peace of mind! We appreciate you mentioning the upstairs bedroom temperature as well. You are right that warm air tends to rise and upper level rooms can sometimes run a little warmer -- we are glad the portable fan did the trick and that it did not put a damper on your stay! Feedback like that is always helpful as we are always looking for ways to improve the experience for our guests. It is also so wonderful to hear that communication felt easy and responsive throughout your stay -- that is something we really do pride ourselves on and it means a lot to hear that it made a difference! We would love to welcome your family back -- whether at Barefootin Too or one of our other cabins -- the next time you are planning a trip to the Smokies. We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Laurel Chalets The cabin and decor were adorable for a mountain getaway! A few small complaints though. First we couldn’t even let our sons sleep in the bunk bed room which they were so excited about because of the number of stink bugs. They ended up having to sleep in the living room couches. We killed a bunch of them but they were everywhere. Also the hot tub was very dirty and we only used it once which was a bummer because we specifically rented this cabin for the hot tub!Ryan L from Warren, MI - Posted: 5/6/2026
Ryan, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience — and for the kind words about the cabin and décor! We're glad the overall stay felt like a true mountain getaway. That said, I'm genuinely sorry about the stink bugs and the hot tub condition. Neither of those is acceptable, and I completely understand how disappointing it must have been — especially when your sons were so excited about the bunk room, and when the hot tub was a big part of why you chose this cabin in the first place. Those are real misses on our end, and we're addressing both. We hope you'll give Bearfootin' Too — or any of our properties — another shot. You deserve a stay where everything works the way it should.Mountain Laurel Chalets staffPosted: 5/6/2026

The cabin was nice but inaccurate as far as the beds were full size and not queen, the upstairs tub worked but needs fixing or replaced, the top bed on bunk beds made so much noise my grandson couldn't sleep on it. Recommendations: need more lighting in kitchen, working fans in each bedroom, chairs out by the hot tub, steps to get in & out of hot tub and a line or somewhere to hang the wet towels. Overall, a nice place! It accommodated us for what we needed. The little cakes were very good and good for the sweet tooth!! Thanks for allowing us to visit!!Anonymous - Posted: 4/19/2026
Roxanne, thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review and for staying with us at Barefootin 2 through Mountain Laurel Chalets. We’re glad to hear the cabin was a nice fit overall and that it accommodated your family for the stay. We’re sorry, though, for the frustrations you experienced with the upstairs tub, the bunk bed noise, and some of the missing conveniences you mentioned. Our maintenance team is already reviewing the tub and bunk to see what repairs or replacements are needed, and we’ll also look at improving kitchen lighting, adding more seating and steps by the hot tub, and providing a better place to hang wet towels. Regarding the beds: the main beds are **queen** size, and we size all linens accordingly; a queen mattress is typically 60" wide by 80" long, whereas a full is about 54" by 75", so it can sometimes appear smaller in photos or in a spacious room. Your feedback is helpful here—we’ll revisit our listing photos and descriptions to make sure the bed sizes and layout are as clear as possible for future guests. We’re delighted you enjoyed the little cakes for your special celebration, and we truly appreciate you choosing Mountain Laurel Chalets. We’d love the opportunity to host you again and provide an even better experience next time.Mountain Laurel Chalets staffPosted: 5/5/2026

Very nice three night stay for our family. The roads getting there were very mountainous. We loved having a hot tub to enjoy as well! We even got to see a small bear near the cabin which we all loved!!!Kayla B - Posted: 8/13/2025

Mountain Laurel Chalets was fantastic! This was our first time booking with them, and they made it easy to prepare for and enjoy our stay in Pigeon Forge. We didn’t have any issues while we were there, but I have no doubt that they would have been helpful and responsive if we had. We will definitely book with them again in the future!Keri M - Posted: 12/16/2024

This was our first trip to Pigeon Forge and staying at this cabin was a great experience. Our only wish was that we had stayed longer. Hopefully, next year it will be available and we can stay longer.Ivan h - Posted: 6/12/2024
Nice family time at the cabin. Air conditioning was wonderful as the temps the week we were there were in the 90's. This is much better than renting two hotel rooms any day. Did not expect such a winding road to cabin. The night critters sure like the garbage cans. We do have very nice memories of our vacation time in Pigeon Forge. Will visit again in the near future.Jean - Posted: 6/12/2024
Want to know specifics? Ask anything about this specific property that you would like to know...
Example: "Is the balcony screened in?" or "Is there a toaster oven?"
We have a dog that’s around 40lbs. She is a black lab/border collie. What are your pet restrictions? Also what are your pet fees. Thank you!

Answer:
There are no weight restrictions for dogs at Bearfootin' Too, so you're all good! The pet fee is $75/night per dog (max of two dogs). Hope to see you soon!
