Wood Fern Lodge

Fern Lodge exceeded all expectations. The property was secluded, exceptionally maintained and offered many unexpected amenities. Morning coffee on the screened in patio while listening to the sounds of nature was so peaceful. The kitchen is a chef’s dream with high end appliances and stocked with every possible gadget. The mattresses were exquisite. While not an issue for our SUV, the drive up to the house was very steep however, worth the views.

The home was beautiful and had everything we needed. The location is one of our favorites; we've always liked the Norton's Creek area. Our only regret is that our vacation was just too short. We hope to return in the coming months to book a longer stay.

Beautiful views, newly renovated cabin, great outdoor space. Short drive into Gatlinburg, about 10 minutes. Technology worked well, not that you need it or want it! We will definitely be back!

This house was simply breathtaking. Easy check-in and check-out, fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, and is secluded yet so close to all of the attractions we wanted to enjoy in Pigeon Forge. I had some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time here. Thank you for helping make our family vacation so much more enjoyable! We will definitely be back!!!

Relaxing home with everything you could need. Very enjoyable stay. All the amenities of home. Clean, comfortable beds, plenty of room for alone time. Seen several black bears walking past while lounging on the deck. We rented this property because when looking at the pictures it had a treadmill. When we arrived it wasn’t there. Made a call and they brought the next morning. My daughter is a track long distance runner and it was very important for us. When we come back we will be staying there again.

Everything was great! Just a couple of minor items: the A/C in the laundry room was on full go the entire stay (no separate thermostat to control). Also, a sheet on site describing use of TV, whole house sound system, possible WiFi access codes, fireplace controls, etc. would be helpful.

We stayed with friends at the Woodfern Lodge and have never enjoyed a mountain getaway more! The home was just that - a home…with everything you could want. It had multiple gorgeous, comfortable living spaces for time to gather as well as be alone; the Mountain View was spectacular from everywhere; the kitchen was extremely spacious and exceedingly equipped; the fireplaces (both indoor and outdoor) made for beautiful, cozy gatherings; the bedrooms were very comfortable and private. My favorite spaces were the screened porch and the deck! Because of the privacy of the location and the top tier accommodations, Woodfern Lodge exceeded even my lofty expectations. I can’t wait to return!

Cannot say enough about the MLC staff and this cabin - simply amazing!! Wish you wouldn't share so we can keep it as our own family secret!! Thanks for all the special memories! Our son got engaged and Mountain Laurel dropped off a gift to celebrate the occasion. The location is so private--we felt like this is what Gatlinburg used to be like before all the attractions. I would say it was nice to be close enough to everything but completely secluded back at Wood Fern Lodge. The home is spacious and stunning. We will be back!!

Wood Fern Lodge was the perfect getaway! My husband and I joined another couple in Gatlinburg and stayed in this 100 Collection property, and never want to stay anywhere else! It was secluded, spacious, with lots of gathering spots to see the mountain views - for time alone or with a group. The main floor's great room was beautiful, the screened-in porch with rockers, the deck with swing and outdoor fireplace, the family room on the lower level, the game area in the loft...we enjoyed it all! The bedrooms were all private and spacious, with adjoining bathrooms but one of my favorite amenities is the fully equipped - large - kitchen. I didn't mind doing dishes looking out the window at Mt. LeConte! Of course, I could also have loaded either of the two dishwashers! Thank you, MLC! Wood Fern Lodge - the PERFECT majestic, private, fun, relaxing, amenity-filled personal resort-away-from-home. Would 100% recommend for an upscale vacation...except when I want to be there! The only thing wrong with Wood Fern Lodge is not staying long enough!
