Sanctuary Song

Stayed last year and this year at Sanctuary Song and it has a good view, very private/secluded feel.

We have stayed in several of the Mountain Laurel properties. We are always pleased with the management staff. Great job! We prefer a two bedroom with private baths for each, a pool table and a view. Sanctuary Song had this (although you have to really watch for the sunrise in the fall). We woke up the bears one morning cooking bacon and sausage and they visited us on both decks. What a delight. Mama and two or three cubs. The only draw back we experienced was how high on the mountain this chalet is as the roads are steeper and do not appear as wide. Ober Gatlinburg can be seen through the trees.

First time visiting Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains and the experience couldn't have been better. The most difficult part was picking the cabin for our stay. Mountain Laurel Chalets offer so many wonderful properties with so many options it's impossible to make a bad choice. We finally decided on Sanctuary Song and couldn't have been more pleased. It offered everything we wanted and more. The property was perfect, clean, up to date, and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms spacious with private baths, the gas fireplace was a warm and welcome perk on those cool evenings and early mornings. The cabin had two decks, a hot tub, tvs in every room and a game room with a pool table. Even with all that the view was the best part. From the deck we had an unobstructed view of the Great Smoky Mountains and the beautiful fall colors. I would not hesitate to book this property again. The drive to the cabin is steep and narrow with some sharp curves.

Husband and I rented Sanctuary Song for our 15th wedding anniversary for Valentines. Cabin is great as a romantic getaway for two. The view at night from the hot tub was amazing and we enjoyed every minute we spent in this cabin. Main level jacuzz does need a new plug as tub wouldn't fill which was only a minor inconvenience since we had the place to ourselves. Cabin was also very clean. 9/10

We really enjoyed our stay! We say a total of 13 bears during our stay. 8 of the bears we saw were within a mile radius of our chalet. We will definitely be back soon for another vacation. Thanks for having us! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This was our third visit with Mountain Laurel Chalets but our first stay at Sanctuary Song and it was fabulous! We brought another couple with us who had not visited the area and they loved the area and the chalet. The view is great - we spent so many hours sipping drinks on the deck and enjoying the view and solitude. The chalet is very clean but the deck is in need of a power washing and staining. We saw bears every day and love observing them on our trips. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at this cabin. Everything was so clean and decorated well. We had bears visit almost every single day. So be prepared to see bears. As with any stay in the mountains the hills can be pretty steep to drive up to if you aren’t used to mountain roads. You will definitely need a 4 wheel drive in the winter months. The cabin was not too close to any other cabin so we felt we had our privacy. The only thing that needs to be updated is the deck. It really needs to be sanded and repainted. Also a swing chair outside would be awesome. During our first night we realized our blender was broken. We called and they brought a new one the next morning. The man who brought it was very kind and knowledgeable about the area as well.

Awesome experience at the Sanctuary Song Cabin... the drive is slightly steep but is doable in any vehicle! I do not know what the previous reviews are saying about the cabin having no view as we had an incredible view of the Sunrise and mountains every morning (it looks like maybe the trees that were blocking the view at one point were cut down- in any case, AMAZING view!!). The Hot Tub was an added bonus we were able to enjoy. Highly recommended cabin to stay at with your family.

The cabin was very nice, clean, and had awesome views. The only negative was the fireplace was already turned off for the season. I was told the fire commissioner had them turned off at the end of February. It would have been nice to have been informed of this when I booked at the beginning of March. I was disappointed, as the nights are still very chilly.

The hill to get to the chalet was very steep, but hey we have a Jeep! Our daughter and son-in-law’s car was more like the “Little Engine that Could” in getting up there. Loved the Christmas decorations- simplistic but inviting, loved the openness of the cabin and fireplace, loved the huge downstairs bedroom suite and the other bedroom was also a nice suite, enjoyed the pool table, didn’t use the hot tub. We brought much of our own specialty cooking stuff (crock pot, Ninja Foodie Grill, etc), but it has the basics of what you need. We stopped at the grocery store before check in, as it saved time.. The office is convenient and very accommodating.

This was our second stay at Sanctuary Song and we’ll be back again next year. Relaxing interiors w beautiful furnishings and super large master suite. Wonderful views, specially at sunrise and sunset. We are seniors and enjoyed relaxing, reading and painting, but we also joined the kids for some hiking, tram rides, shopping and the Christmas Arts and Crafts show. We saw bears, raccoons and a large buck. The drive up the mountain is challenging, but the serenity and views up top are worth it. The cabin is handicap accessible and we were greeted with a Christmas tree and beautiful fire place.

My wife and I stayed at Sanctuary Song for 7 nights in October of 2021.The home was very clean and well maintained. There is plenty of room to park. I drive a full size pickup and had room to turn it around in the driveway. The roads to the house are narrow with a lot of curves. that`s to be expected when you drive on the side of a mountain. We had bears and even a coyote in the driveway. Nothing to be afraid of just view the wildlife from inside. One bear with cubs tried to get in the truck, make sure to keep your doors locked at all times. The Mtn. Laurel staff were very helpful and answered any questions that I had. The only complaint I have is that the hot tub needs updated. There were some jets that didn`t work, and the lights in the tub didn`t work, not a deal breaker for me it is still usable. I highly recommend Mtn Laurel Chalets and Sanctuary Song to anyone planning a stay in Gatlinburg. Give these good people a try I`m pretty sure you will not be disappointed.

Loved the inside... parking was a task.. wish the porch had a gate was uncomfortable sitting out side w the bears did not even use the hottub... had a door issue it was fixed that day very impressed... thought it was a really nice cabin... thank you for sharing

Thanks Kellee. As with all mountain homes, the roads getting to the house can be steep but the parking at Sanctuary Song is very spacious and flat once you arrive at the location. Bears are frequent guests--we are sorry you felt gun shy to stay in the hot tub on the deck. Glad we could address the maintenance issue in a timely fashion for you! We hope to see you again soon.

We had a great experience and enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and everything worked as it should. The hot tub was clean just wouldn’t turn off completely. (After turning off it would turn back on low/not a big deal) Pool table was nice. (Little close to the walls but totally fine for friendly games) The roads are a little tight to navigate in and out of the mountain which was expected. We also had bears stop in every evening to visit. We had a overall great experience and look forward to returning in the future for another stay.

We loved the very spacious cabin. Bedrooms and Baths were huge! The cabin was very secluded, but it was easy to get to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge via the bypass. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nicely secluded, nice appliances, furniture, hot tubs, and great service (minor power issue with hot tub that was corrected quickly). We appreciated a clean place, with nice mattresses on the beds. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

The chalet was cozy & clean when we arrived & easy check in. Seen a black bear in our adventure back to the chalet... A few issues with the chalet : The sofa needs updated, looks worn & has 2 small chairs in the living room that are not to comfortable, coffee maker leaks, downstairs shower drains extremely slow, blinds throughout are broken & dryer is slow at drying .

Our experience at Sanctuary Song was great! Everything was very clean and looked even better in person than it did on the pictures. The only unfortunate thing was that the hot tub was not under a covered area and it rained during the days we were there so we were only able to get in late at night. The road to get to the cabin was very steep and narrow, but that’s to be expected in the mountains. Everything else was wonderful and we highly recommend it to anyone who thinks about staying here.

I would say you can use the hot tub in the rain, but we had thunderstorms and driving rain while you were here, so not a good idea regardless if it was covered or not. A few days later, we had snow showers in the higher elevations. That's springtime in the Smokies for you, but the pay off is beautiful wildflowers flowers and blooming trees. We hope you can come back and experience another season in the Smokies with us.

WE stayed with some friends for my 40th birthday. The cabin was great. Nice views of Ober, very clean and everything we needed. The drive up was a little tight in some turns for large vehicles but we made it work. Great time had by all.

This was such a relaxing and homey vacation. We felt so cozy on the hill. Can see the ski slopes at night. Perfect for the family. Hot tub was excellent. Great views. Only complaint was it wasn’t longer. Need a blow dryer.

The view is only available when the leaves are off the trees, but spotting the lights from the ski slopes is a great discovery! Our stay at Sanctuary Song was great. The cabin is beautiful and very well kept. The location to everything in the Gatlinburg area was great. During our stay, it was extremely foggy and the road up to our cabin was narrow and extremely curvy. A very scary drive due to fog and no lines on much of the road to help guide. Definitely not a drive for the faint of heart. If not gonna add lines to road a guardrail would help. Loved the cabin though!

We have experienced a lot of fog and rain in the past few days, but are also blessed to not have the snow and ice most of the country is experiencing. Of course, the weather and roadways are beyond our control, but we are glad to hear that the cabin met your needs and you enjoyed the accommodations. We offer lots of cabins closer down to the bottom of the mountain that might be a better fit for you next time and we hope that will be soon.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! Even better than the pictures. Clean, nicely furnished including a Christmas tree. The atmosphere was perfect. Master bedroom was huge with a covered deck. Driving up and down the mountain took 20 -30 minutes, but once down, Gatlinburg was just a few minutes away. I would recommend bring groceries as the stores are quite a distance. Definitely returning next year.

The downstairs bedroom is very spacous with private access to the downstairs deck which is covered by the main deck above. The drive down the mountain may seem to take forever, but it is actually only 3 miles and takes about 10 minutes to get to the Parkway at light number 10. The grocery store, however, is outside town about 3 miles, so getting groceries on the way in is a good idea, especially if it's during a busy time of year. We hope you will be able to return to the mountains soon.

Beautiful time of year to view fall colors! Very nice chalet with everything we needed available. Bed were exceptionally comfortable. Nothing I would change about this chalet. Beautiful time of year to view fall colors! Very nice chalet with everything we needed available. Bed were exceptionally comfortable. Nothing I would change about this chalet. One of the best we have stayed in. Beautifully decorated and very “homey” feeling! Will definitely stay at this chalet again in future years!!!

This cabin was the perfect combination of location and space. Two large bedroom/baths is hard to find. The whole cabin was very comfortable. The roads are well paved and in good condition and only the last mile or so is a little challenging but you are in the mountains so that is expected. The driveway is relatively flat and wide enough to turn around in. Our experience with Mount Laurel Chalets was also great. Just enough contact to get what you need but no spamming like the other online rental locations. Overall we had a great time and would definitely rent from MLC again.

The chalet was clean, comfortable and cozy. The only draw back was the location. We will not stay that far up in the mountains again. The drive to the chalet was too steep, long and curvy.

This was our first trip to Gatlinburg. We absolutely loved Sanctuary Song. Clean and it was stocked with everything we needed. Very private. Loved how peaceful it was. Ladies in the office were very nice and helpful planning our next vacation

Had a wonderful stay for our first visit to Gatlinberg! We are already looking forward to the next visit. The roads can be a bit tricky if you’re uncomfortable driving steep and narrow roads. We had multiple bear sightings as well! Would most definitely spend my time and money there again.

LOVED this cabin we did not want to leave! The cabin was very clean and very homey. The kitchen was fully equipped which was very convenient as well as the washer and dryer. If you want to be close to neighbors but not on top of anyone else this is the perfect spot, it is pretty high up on the mountain quite a drive up. Our stay was amazing we will definitely be back!

Thanks for the review and we are glad you enjoyed your time at Sanctuary Song. This area, Chalet Village, is known for bigger lots that offer more privacy. You feel like you are in a neighborhood, but the houses are not on top of each other. That's what makes it the BEST place to stay in the Smokies! We hope to see you again soon.

The cabin was very clean, and organized. Generally when renting a house or condo, I find at least one issue, but this place was immaculate. It's very nicely decorated as well! The customer service staff including Pam were very friendly and are extremely prompt and happy to answer your questions. I would certainly love to stay here again!

We absolutely loved Sanctuary Song! It has all the ammenities one could as for, it is secluded enough, yet close enough to go "get into a lil' something"" if you want. We go to Gatlinburg about twice a year and this has been our favorite chalet yet!"

Sanctuary Song was perfect. Spacious bedrooms and baths. Very Clean. When we arrived, we saw bear footprints on the deck, but sadly we didn’t get to see any this trip. We have been loyal MLC visitors for 40+ years. Thank you MLC for another wonderful experience

Our stay with Mtn Laurel Chalets is always the best! We have been staying with them since 1985. It is fun to stay in different chalets through out the past years. Sanctuary Song was nice and quiet,well stocked chalet,charming decor. However it could use a new stove, although this one worked fine, the top is all cracked. Beds are very comfortable and the chalet is clean. Seen NO bears but there were bear tracks on the deck. We enjoyed our stay. Cheryl in the office is WONDERFUL. Kay is also the best as well. A wonderful caring staff Mtn Laurel Chalet has. Hoping for some additional chalets to come on the program with views!...The Kesse's from Cincinnati, Ohio

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Serenity Song cabin. It is perfect for a small family or two couples. It's clean, comfortable and has wonderful large bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, a hot tub and grill. We enjoyed watching fireflies while sitting in the hot tub at night :-)

We really enjoyed our stay at Sanctuary Song. Very peaceful and quiet surroundings. Chalet was very nice and clean. Enjoyed the pool table and sitting outside .... Like living in a beautiful tree house. Also, we had a close encounter of a bear kind when a momma bear and three clubs stopped by for a visit. Little alarming at first but a great memory for us, including many pictures and videos.

Our daughter decided at the last minute she wanted to get married...and wanted to go to Gatlinburg to do it! This was the BEST decision we made. So close yet we felt like we got to experience nature. Clean, quiet and beautiful. We will be back! September is our goal!!

The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The fireplace was great for the chilly nights. The pool table and hot tub was great especially with 2 teenage boys. We would recommend Mount Laurel Chalets to anyone looking for a rental. We have stayed with them since 1999 and have always been pleased.
