Ober View is our favorite! I have spent many birthdays there! It's just SO homey feeling! An amazing view, great hot tub, every essential you need! Just like home!

We've rented from ML for many years but this was the first time we needed a dog friendly rental and that was the main reason we selected Ober View. Pet friendly or not, it was a great choice. The cabin had everything we needed and awesome views. Two things that are keeping me from giving it 5 stars - the driveway is steeper than most rentals we've encountered, and the upstairs bedroom has two large windows that you cannot block the sun from coming in and one of the windows is in plain view from the condos on the hill above. Also, I don't understand why the hot tub doesn't have a set of stairs, there is even a sign saying not to use the deck furniture to stand in, and many people have mentioned it.

We really enjoyed our stay. I have always used mountain Laurel chalets for my Gatlinburg stays. We even had a bear experience. Although it rained most of the time we were there on our last trip we still enjoyed our stay at the chalet because of the beautiful views of the misty mountains. Mountain laurel chalets always gets five stars!

We originally booked our stay in Bryson City with another company but unfortunately it didn’t go as planned. So we called Mountain Laurel Chalets to make a last minute booking and Chris on the other line who was very accommodating made it possible for us to get a place where we can stay the same day after explaining to him our situation. His patience and professionalism over the phone got us the most beautiful place to stay for our vacation! My family and I will definitely come back and will book with ya’ll and we will definitely recommend Mountain Laurel Chalets to our family and friends!

Awesome view. Nice Chalet, clean & comfortable. Bears came to bottom of deck. We had a great time. Could use some repairs to deck door, bottom strip came loose every time door opened. No good place for puppies to go do their business but can't complain. The most beautiful Sunrises over the mountains. Would highly recommend staying here..

This is the 5th home we have stayed in with Mountain Laurel Chalets. And every home has been wonderfully accommodating, clean, with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. My wife and I had a wonderful weekend stay at this beautiful chalet. The view is absolutely amazing! The long range mountain views are gorgeous. And, you’re overlooking Ober Gatlinburg. It has a sauna and hot tub. Coffee on the deck, especially the upper deck, was a wonderful morning treat. Can’t wait to return - we highly recommend this chalet.

The views here were spectacular. It felt private despite other houses being nearby due to dense foliage. Thr jacuzzi was amazing. The master bedroom was beautiful and everything felt clean. My only criticism would be that the house is getting old and some things need updated for function. Thr downstairs bathrooms shower knob feels lose and is hard to adjust because of this and the living room windows do not stay open if you try to open them. Aside from these 2 minor issues the place was awesome and for the views, jacuzzi, and cleanliness alone I'd highly recommend

Generally very good. A couple of little hiccups though. The staff put the key to another property in the envelope and had to go back down to the rental office to retrieve the correct key. The kit of detergents was not in the chalet. The TV in the first floor bedroom did not have a cable box. The toaster had been damaged by a previous tenant. The second floor bedroom shower was really small and the water controller in first floor tub/shower is tough to regulate. However it was spotless, the staff is excellent and helpful and we really enjoyed the stay!!

This is our 34th year staying with Mountain Laurel and our first time in Heaven's View. This is now one of our new favorite chalets. The view is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the skiers at Ober Gatlinburg. The chalet was comfortable and clean and the staff is exceptional. The first floor has an obstructed view due to young trees with trunks very close to the house foundation that could easily be trimmed back. We rented this house based on the web site photos that show clear views and sunny deck, but this is not what we experienced. We called and sent photos of the obstruction to Mtn Laurel and the only response we got was "It must not be a problem as the house rents often"We will not rent this house again.

The only complaint I have is with the refrigerator. The size and the fact you could not open the freezer door all the way made it difficult to put things in the freezer however we made it work with a little maneuvering to out things in it. Other then that we loved, loved the house and the views from the upper deck were amazing. The staff was also great, friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be using them for our future rental needs..

Nice cabin with great views as advertised. The view from the top deck is much better as it's a little overgrown off the bottom deck. Cabin was nice but there could have been a better supply of towels and the toaster is barely functional. First time down the driveway was scary but we got used to it.

Nice view, clean rental but few issues. Wasn't informed about lack of bedding/blankets or towels. No washer and dryer and only 1 set of towels to last us a week. Refrigerator is too large for the space it's in and can't open the freezer door more than a few inches. Information sent and in rental unit is outdated with their current covid practices. Living room TV took me about 45mins to figure out. There were 5 remotes and the display with instructions really didn't help. (I would label what remove does what) Driveway is very steep and short. Would park more than 1 car as you need to be able to turn around and get a running start to get out of the driveway.

We regret if you did not receive the email sent a couple of days prior to your arrival that outlined our covid policy in regards to the bed linens and towels. We will be glad to get Covid behind us so our office can reopen and we can provide our regular services for our guests. There should be 3 remotes in the living room (TV, cable box and DVD/Blu Ray), so most likely the other remote belonged in the bedrooms. The driveway is a little tight, but if there are two cars, if the first car can turn around and back into the parking spot in front of the entry door, there is plenty of room for a second car. It just takes a little practice. We hope you will be able to return to the Smokies soon.

Fortunately, Heaven's View is on a city street and the city plows the road after it snows usually within a day or so. Watching the activities of the ski lodge is fun, especially with fresh snow. We had a great time. The chalet was nice with an excellent view. There is a couple of issues: the control handle for the tub/shower in the main floor bathroom is broken so it is very hard to operate. Also there were no extra blankets and it snowed while we were there. There was only a thin summer cotton blanket on both beds, and also there are no pans to bake something in the oven. That being said, the chalet is furnished nicely and we really enjoyed our Christmas vacation. Thank you Mountain Laurel. You always come through. We loved the new welcome box.

Because of the pandemic, we are washing all the bed linens between guests, therefore, there is only one blanket on each bed. An email is being sent two days prior to arrival outlining our Covid policies and what you might need to bring with you (i.e. extra blankets). We are sorry if you did not receive this notification. Long time users of Mt Laurel.. first time at Heavens View. We arrived on Monday afternoon just in time for the snow to start falling after thanksgiving. It was literally breathtaking watching it peacefully fall through the night, and at a distance watching them “make” snow at Ober beneath us.. the accommodation s are spot on at Heavens View. Definitely will be our go to cabin on our future visits. As always thanks to Mt Laurel for handeling everything for us in a professional manner!!

Watching it snow is truly a magical event, especially when you are safely tucked into your cabin with plenty of food! The early snows of the season are the best. The snow hangs in the trees and is lovely, but doesn't cause problems with the roads! January and February snow can be a bit tricker, but nonetheless breathtaking. They key is to be prepared. The cabin was great, stocked kitchen, open floor plan, but the upstairs shower is a joke. Especially for my 6’4” husband, it might be big enough for a child and that’s it! WAY to small and short!!! We loved the fabulous view from the home. The design of the home was nice to have two separate bedrooms on different floors with so much space. Loved the kitchen. It was well furnished. The upper deck was a great place to see even more! The drive was mentioned as a slight concern. After thefirst time, itwas a piece of cake. Lots of space in the drive to even turn around. The seperation of floors at Heaven's View allows each couple privacy, while the great room makes it possible to socialize with each other if you are cooking, watching TV or playing games at the dining table. One would expect the drive to the cabin to be curvy since Heaven's View sits on top of the mountain, but you are right. After the first time, it's easy. If your party is traveling in two cars, we recommend the first car turn around in the parking area to be headed forward when parked, that way the second car will have room to turn after the first car pulls out. The living room was very comfy and so was the bed on Main floor but upstairs was awful. Was disappointed that there wasn't a clothes dryer or washer. I would get rid of spa and put dryer/washer in there. Although the office was prompt in getting exterminator in there, they still had a bad ant problem. Had to put sweet stuff in refrigerator and was soft drink cup before you go to bed. The view was unbelievable and cabin was very clean.

As always the entire experience was GREAT! The staff at Mt. Laurel is beyond friendly and oh so helpful. Mid January is a great time to go as the pace is much slower and we find it easier to get around (both by car and walking). My wife has a disability and less crowds means a happier experience for us both. We kinda lucked out this trip with warmer weather and got some good time visiting in the park. This was maybe our tenth(?) stay at Heaven’s View but that just speaks to the layout, the cleanliness and, of course, the great view!

We really enjoyed our stay. Four of us were very comfortable in the size of the home. It was very clean and had what we needed to have to enjoy our stay. Worst part is the driveway, you will get used to it, but if you have a bigger car, the first drive down it is a little scary!

Thank you for the review. If you have two cars, we recommend the first car go down and turn around and that car goes out first making room for the second car to turn around. It gets easier, but there is a learning curve. However, we feel the View is worth the trouble! The best views are higher and worth the effort. Please come again soon.

The view was breathtaking and we really enjoyed our visit to Gatlinburg. However, the chalet was NOT thoroughly cleaned...multiple cobwebs, dust on floor, etc. The master bath upstairs needs to be completely redone as it's a very tight space to work in especially when sharing the sink. You can't turn around in the shower (it's so small) and therefore making cleaning impossible. Also the handles in the shower and the tub downstairs needs to be replaced as they don't work properly.

The view was breathtaking and we really enjoyed our visit to Gatlinburg. However, the chalet was NOT thoroughly cleaned...multiple cobwebs, dust on floor, etc. The master bath upstairs needs to be completely redone as it's a very tight space to work in especially when sharing the sink. You can't turn around in the shower (it's so small) and therefore making cleaning impossible. Also the handles in the shower and the tub downstairs needs to be replaced as they don't work properly.

The chalet was great and the view was amazing. The workers at the Mountain Laurel Office were so helpful and went out of their way to make sure everything was great. We have stayed with this company now for about 30 years and have never had a negative experience. The only negative about this chalet was the drive up the mountain but that is to expected if you want this amazing view. You can see the Smoky Mountains perfectly from this chalet plus Ober Gatlinburg.

This property was amazing! The views were great & the house supplied you with everything you need for whatever your doing! The whole house was very clean & the furniture & beds were super comfortable! There were just a couple things that were not as functional as they should have been though. The dishwasher door doesn't open all the way before hitting the refrigerator, so the bottom rack doesn't slide out all the way, making that a little hard to load & unload it. Also, the freezer door doesn't open all the way either, it hits the wall about a quarter of the way open, which makes it nearly impossible to get things in & out of there. Other than those two things this is a great property & we plan on visiting again in the near future!!

We usually go to the Smokies every year in April for our Anniversary. We stayed at Heaven's View for the first time. The chalet was nice and cozy with a big master suite with a balcony on the second floor. The downside with this chalet is the kitchen . . . too small of an area. We could only open the freezer door half way (which was a real inconvenience) and the dishwasher doesn't open all the way because of the refrigerator. Other than that, the rest of the chalet was fine and we had a wonderful time.

Amazing views of the mountains! We also enjoyed watching the tubers at Ober. The chalet was easy to find, clean and stocked as expected. The Sauna was a nice in addition to the hot tub. I have visited Gatlinburg many times, but it was a first for my girlfriend. The rental was in great shape and we loved the view from the back deck. We saw a bear on our last day.

We had such a great experience! This was our first time in Gatlinburg. We stayed here because a friend recommended it. I highly recommend it! We had everything we needed from towels, to kitchen utensils to an iron. The only thing that would have made it better was a washer and dryer. I loved that they had wi-if. We brought our Roku along with us. Can’t wait to go back!! Even the office staff at Mt. Laurel Chalets we’re great.

Couldn't have asked for a nice cabin. Felt clean and homey. Views from both porches were awesome. We even got to see a bear walking down the mountain. Only downside was the drive up the mountain, which is the price for the beautiful view. Be mentally ready for step roads before you arrive but it was worth it so keep that in mind.

We came in late, but the staff explained the late check-in procedure well. Getting the key was quick and painless. The house was clean and had no smell. Nice view of the city and ski slopes. The hot tub was clean and hot. Kitchen was clean, but the new refrigerator was a little too close to the wall and tricky getting in the freezer. The biggest negative was the lack of a washer and dryer. After hiking we needed a way to wash the clothes. If they get a washer/dryer, we will book this cabin again. Would recommend this cabin to friends if it had a washer/dryer.

I can't say enough about Mt. Laurel's staff. They relocated us to this cabin after the first one wasn't acceptable. We were in the Smokies for our annual girls trip. Heavens View is a very nice chalet with an awesome view! The chalet was clean and well furnished. The kitchen was very well equipped. It is the perfect size for 4 people.
It is dire need of new furniture for the deck. There is a terrific view and the only seating are straight back chairs with slats missing that go with a table. They are very uncomfortable. The other problem with the deck is that the hot tub sits right in the middle of the deck not leaving much room for enjoying the deck.
The only other comment is that the upstairs shower is the smallest shower I have ever seen. So small it was hard to shower. The upstairs bedroom was great, very nice and roomy. Comfortable beds!

And we found it! Booking and registration were absolutely problem free. We were meeting friends from Atlanta, and they beat us there. They had the address in their GPS and drove up the mountain to get a look at it. They warned us the road was intimidating--and it is. But hey, we were climbing a mountain. Take it easy, do not cross the center line and you will be fine. Is it worth it? Oh,yeah!!
We were only there for two nights, and it was just what we needed. Fantastic views. Great accomodations with a hot tub on the deck and a jacuzzi tub on the third level. Very comfortable and inviting. My wife is ready to go back for a week. We loved it. By the way, if they haven't changed the picture, you are looking DOWN on Ober Gattlinburg Ski Lodge.

This was the first time staying in Heaven's View on the 25th trip to Gatlinburg, always staying with Mtn. Laurel Chalets. Heaven's View was everything the website showed and more. The pictures do not do the view justice, simply amazing. The chalet was clean and as the pictures show it is nice, we stayed in the upstairs bedroom and the bed was very comfortable.

We arrived the day Gatlinburg opened up after the fires and Ober Gatlinburg didn't open up until the day we left so it was sort of weird not seeing the tram running up and down the line but we did get to see them before we left. They were making snow on the ski runs and it was kind of unique to see that. If you like a good view and sitting on a deck you will love this place.

I have to add by checking in on the day Gatlinburg opened after the fire the office was not fully functional (my opinion) but the staff was as friendly and accommodating as they always are. I wouldn't stay anywhere than Mtn. Laurel Chalets, already booked trip #26 with them in June. (Unless we get a chance to get there sooner)

My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 nights while making a trip north to visit family for Thanksgiving. It was everything we could have wanted and more! The view was amazing from any room in the chalet, and especially from the patios. We were grateful to be able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings less than a week before the fires. The staff was helpful and wonderful to deal with and the drive up and down the mountain only added to the wonderful experience. The view was absolutely amazing! You have the beautiful mountains on one side and the view of Ober Gatlinburg on the other! We will stay here again to see these views in all different seasons! The driveway was tricky because it was just a drop off and my car did drag a couple of times so be prepared for that. The living room with the wall of windows looking out onto that amazing view was wonderful! Overall great trip! We did feel the deck by the hot tub could use a little maintenance, but the view from the hot tub well made up for it!

We have stayed in several different cabins over the years. When we walked into this rental, we had definitely found the place we would come back to. The spectacular views in the morning, sitting on the deck, watching the clouds rolls in and out below you were mystical. The 180 degree view from the livingroom was great as well. It was very clean and modern. Just wanted to sit and relax with the views. The only issue we had was the parking area. A little tight but again, worth the trouble.

We enjoyed out time at this property. The views were gorgeous, the patio private, and the property managers great! It was smaller than I'd anticipated, but enough room for two couples. You could hear the hum of the snow machines at Ober, but it was not too loud. The hot tub was hot and clean. Enough dishes in the kitchen for four people - but bring your own storage bowl for leftovers in the fridge. Bring your own coffee filters for the drip coffee maker as well. One toilet was leaking, but maintenance was out out the next day. We would stay here agin.

The experience was overall good. The house was just ok compared to many other houses we have stayed in the past. The best part of the house was the view. However, for the price, there are many others with more amenities and just as good of a view. This home does not have a washer/dryer or pool table as many in the area do have. If you stay here, consider bringing a small step stool as they do not provide anything to get in/out of the hot tub. If you are short, you will have problems.

The master bedroom was open and had a feeling of seclusion from the rest of the chalet, which was very nice. The sauna is an added bonus. This is our third time staying with Mtn Laurel and the staff never disappoints. They are great to work with and make checking in/out convenient and easy. I definitely recommend Heavens' View and Mtn Laurel for a quick getaway or longer stay. We will definitely be staying at this chalet again.

The view from this chalet lived up to it's name and the many windows on the back side of the chalet featured it well. It was absolutely breathtaking! It was nice to also have Ober Gatlinburg in our view. The area was quiet and it was nice to have a driveway built down from the road, so we didn't have to park right off the road, as it is narrow. The chalet had great features and was very clean. There was some wear and tear to furniture but, overall, it was minor. The photos on the website were exactly like the chalet is. We got somewhat tired of the crowds in Gatlinburg (it was also very hot this time of year), but we loved the park and some of the craft and antique shops in the area. We enjoyed a small Greek restaurant on the main strip in Gatlinburg and the Log Cabin Restaurant for breakfast. The managers of Mountain Laurel were helpful and we would certainly recommend this chalet and company to others and would definitely stay here again.
