One grill was not working, which I know you all tried to fix that day, and we had an issue with the gas tanks once we started to grill Friday night. You all responded quickly to my voice messages and sent someone with gas within 30 minutes. Thanks so much for going above and beyond!

Our group of 22 adults loved Laurel Lodge! It is so rare to find a lodge with 12 bedrooms, each with a private bath, and a queen or king bed. It was like having a small hotel just for us! The best part was the very large kitchen, dining area and deck that gave us lots of space to spend time together. Plus, it was immaculately clean and very well appointed. Do pay attention to the warnings about bears! We spotted a few, but they did not bother us. One couple forgot to lock their car and found bear foot prints inside it! Fortunately, the car was not damaged. The only negative comment from anyone was about the road leading to the lodge. If you are accustomed to mountain roads it really isn't so bad, but be aware that Holly Branch Drive is only wide enough for one car, so if you encounter a vehicle coming the other way, someone will have to back up. The distance is not long, so that's a minor inconvenience. Many thanks to Pam and the entire staff for helping us plan a memorable vacation!

Our group of 20 had a fabulous stay at Laurel Lodge!! The layout and size of the house were perfect! The kitchen was amazing!! So well stocked with everything we needed!! Our group loved sitting on the deck, enjoying beverages and catching up! The view was just beautiful. The Adirondack rocking chairs on the deck were perfect! Our only complaint was that there were NOT ENOUGH of them. More chairs are needed on the deck. Also, it would be nice to have more sets of towels and more toilet paper. But overall we LOVED our stay at Laurel Lodge and would highly recommend it!! Our group may make this a yearly trip!!

Great experience for our family weekend! Everyone was helpful and responsive. Just a couple of suggestions on the property:1. The left oven didn’t seem to heat/cook very well. Right one was much better. 2. The knives needed to be sharpened. 3. More trash bags and dishwasher soap should be left initially for such a large unit. We’ll definitely consider coming back!

We all 21 members loved our mountain vacation. We loved everything about it even the baby bears who were entertaining. The house was large, beautiful bedrooms with baths, an enormous kitchen and two dining tables to seat all members of our family reunion.

The bears certainly have an established trail through this large property. It's always a good idea to look outside before stepping out, especially at dawn or dusk. The bears are used to seeing humans, but please never approach them as they are still wild animals. We are glad you found Laurel Lodge spacious and perfect for your family. This is our second time renting this home for a family reunion. The setup and condition of the house are perfect for our family. It has been renovated since we last visited. The kitchen setup is perfect with double ovens/cooktops/dishwashers/coffee makers/trash cans and plenty of cookware, utensils, and cups. The expanded deck is really nice but we did wish there were a few more chairs on the deck. The kids loved the theater room, the internet was fast, and the TVs had cable plus smart capabilities for streaming. With the pool table and provided games we could have spent the whole time in the house and been very happy. We were happy to find the grills are now up on the deck (for bear safety) and we were supplied with ample propane for our stay. Everyone at Mountain Laurel Chalets was wonderful to work with and I would happily rent from them again as they made the entire rental experience easy and were all so nice. The only thing that would prevent us from renting this house again is that the bears are very aggressive about trying to get food from cars and have learned to come by regularly to check if cars are open and also would not leave us alone while we were trying to pack up and leave. I really think the owners should add more substantial fencing around the parking area and also work with the wildlife agency to figure out how to keep the bears off the property. It is clear they know what to do to get what they want (people food) and are willing to be pretty aggressive to get it.

This 12 BR lodge served our extended family of 19 very well. The lodge was a beautiful property. We saw black bear every day we were there, including one on the top deck. One car was broken into by a bear. The only down side was that the ice maker broke mid way thru our stay and was not repaired. We had 4 days without ice.

Overall the cabin was lovely - I love the renovations (I am a previous visitor) the theatre room addition is great but the seats were nasty and had hair everywhere. We bought lint rollers but that didn't work out well so we didn't utilize that room which was a disappointment (NBA playoffs) The tv in the last bedroom on the left upstairs picture and volume was sporadic the whole visit and couldn't be watched. If you open the door to the fridge upstairs there is a loud popping sound. Other than this the rental was great. Loved the space in the kitchen.

Cons: Your company advertised 6 Kings; 6 Queens. There were 5 Kings and 7 Queens ��My guests who had to sleep in the Queen were angry because of this.
The bears were too aggressive for people; someone is bound to get seriously injured or worse
The kitchen refrigerator leaked and Beeped intermittently the entire stay; water was everywhere. Maintenance came a couple times.
The vent in the floor between kitchen and Family room became a Trip Hazard
Please advise people Before they come that large vehicles/buses cannot make it up the mountains

We had a group of 20 that stayed for the second time at this particular rental. There were only a few things that we wish were different. The parking is definitely a tight fit - the fewer and "smaller"" cars the better. We only had two towels per room - that meant we had to either wash or go back to the office to get more. We booked for four nights so that should have been taken into consideration. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. Lots of room on the decks as well. "

Our group has been coming to Gatlinburg since the mid 80’s. Mountain Laurel Chalets has been wonderful to work with throughout.
Laurel Lodge is perfect for our group. Everyone has their own bedroom and bathroom. There are plenty of common spaces for playing games, watching movies, and relaxing. View from the porch is amazing.
This year we were lucky enough to have 70 degree weather one day and snow the next. How amazing. We made many wonderful memories and plan to be back.

This beautiful chalet is the nicest one that my family has ever enjoyed in the Smokies. It is extremely well appointed with all amenities you need for a very comfortable vacation. For example, the kitchen is outfitted with an amazing set of dinnerware and every piece of the set has a clearly labeled spot on the shelving. Our family loved Laurel Lodge! Cozy, beautifully decorated, Christmas tree, wonderful deck and view, impressively well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and linens. Loved the hot tub!

A note to maintenance: the turntable in the microwave is not operating so you have to stop and start several times/rotate your dish to get even heating in the microwave.

A suggestion for the owners: somewhere on the ground level, either along the entry way hall or nearby inside the downstairs living area, a row of coat hooks would be fantastic.

We've been coming to Laurel Lodge since 2007 for our church retreat and as always, everything was great. The property management staff were very nice and super helpful. Anything we needed they had it covered in minutes. We are already booked for 2022 and we are all excited to be going back another year. Laurel Lodge is the absolute best place to stay in Gatlinburg for a large group...12 bedrooms with a private bath for each room is hard to find. The house is always so clean and has had a beautiful upgrade...especially the kitchen. Cannot say enough of good things about this house and the people who manage it.

Laurel Lodge was a great place to have our family reunion. We traveled from New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, and Florida. We took advantage of everything the area had to offer, but the best memories will be from time spent in Laurel Lodge. We reminisced and laughed for hours in the kitchen / dining / living area and soaked up the great weather and views from the deck. We try to get together every 2 - 3 years in a different location, but Laurel Lodge may be our first repeat location. Mount Laurel Chalets made sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The entire Lodge was gorgeous and very spacious for 22 people. There were minor problems but they did not affect our stay at all. The location was close to the Gatlinburg strip and the clubhouses.

We have rented this cabin several times over the last several Memorial Day weekends. It provides a great space for our large family reunion. And we appreciate the great updates that have been made over the last couple of years. However on this trip we found new beds and tables in the large living area. While the tables looked great, they are large and bulky with heavy chairs. It's wonderful for seating our large group. But the chairs are so bulky that it makes navigation through the space to the kitchen area a little tight. But this is not as bad as the beds. Huge massive head and foot boards look great for a cabin in the mountains. However these beds made it very tight moving around in the bedrooms. Only about 12 inches between the beds and the dressers to move around to get in the far side of the beds and to the bathrooms. We love this large cabin and will continue to rent it for our family reunions. But just wanted someone to know about this issue.

This chalet had everything we needed. Nice decor, well stocked kitchen. I loved the theater room. Did I mention the great view. And no visit to the mountains would be complete without receiving a visit from several bears. The only issue was the narrow one way road to access the chalet. You need great driving skills to drive a 15 passenger van around several tight curves.

The road to the lodge is hard to handle for those not used to mountain roads but I found it just fine. The view from the back deck was gorgeous. Quiet area and peaceful. The space was Great! We had a Very large family group and everyone was comfortably accommodated. The place was clean. We lacked supplies and since our stay was over a holiday we had to go buy our own paper towels, garbage bags. It was impossible getting responses from management. We had a few things broken and a bathroom door locked, even the security alarm was NONSTOP beeping the entire trip. They randomly sent a maintenance guy over to fix a few things but I never heard from anyone and the alarm system beeping was for all 4 days all day and night long. We even thought there was a problem with an ice machine and not wanting to have anything go wrong with the property I put in a request for that as well- never heard anything at all back from management. No communication from management and lack of basic garbage bag supplies was not enjoyable, the alarm system beeping nonstop was very annoying.

Thanks for the review and we appreciate the feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the chalet and regret you had issues with the alarm. We are trying to determine what the problem could have been to remedy the situation, but cannot duplicate the problem. In regards to restocking disposables in the cabin, you should have received an email a few days prior to your arrival outlining our COVID policy that explains our office is closed to the public, therefore, we are asking our guests to bring extra provisions such as paper products and garbage bags. We don't like it either, but the safety of our guests and staff is our highest priority. Once the virus is under control, we will rejoice in reopening our office and welcoming our guests properly. We hope you will come back and see us then.

Laurel Lodge was awesome! Space for the entire family - everyone had their own room! Large deck with grills, jacuzzi and a beautiful view of the mountains. Kitchen was huge...nobody was ever in anybody's way.....and the downstairs theatre was great, especially for the SEC championship football game! We even saw a bear our last night...when they say make sure your car doors are locked - they ain't kidding! We did have a minor issue with wifi - which was quickly handled and there were a few rooms where the TV didn't work properly...but that is something easily fixed as well. We had a great time and my family already wants to book it again next year!

The cabin was beautiful, however we had a few issues. When we arrived for check in , maintenance was still bringing in a dining table and our group was not able to fully check in until about 4pm. which caused issues in our schedule. The cable and TV connections in 3 bedrooms were not working, the shower curtain liners in a majority of the rooms were filthy and a few guests had to use showers in other rooms. When we called to replace the curtains, we appreciated the prompt response but the when thy came to change the curtains it was in the middle of our group session and it disturbed the flow, and the curtains that were brought to replace didn't fit the length of the shower. I called management and I spoke to someone twice to let them know of the issues and I was told that I would receive a credit for our issues, however no one has reached back out to me.

Thank you for your comments and concerns. We are sorry that the truck delivering the new dining room tables was delayed due to access to the cabin. We were happy to let your group into Laurel Lodge at 2:00 pm as you had already unloaded all of your groceries on the front porch. We were so concerned that the bears would want to enjoy your food and that would have been a disaster. We usually do not allow entrance to the cabin until 3pm and in this case, to save your food and provide for your safety we let you access the Lodge at 2pm. We had planned a delivery of new dining room tables on this day at 1:00 pm but the truck was delayed until 3:30 which prevented your other guests from accessing the Lodge until 4:00 pm. We are so sorry for this delay and did everything we could to encourage the delivery guys to speed up their service. The shower curtains needed to be changed and we are glad we were able to deliver those promptly when requested. Covid-19 has had it's challenges, but we are thankful that we have been for the most part been able to get people checked in at the same time of 3pm when other companies are not guaranteeing check in until 5pm or 6pm.

I chose this beautiful setting for our 14-member sales team’s Fall regional meeting. It was a great choice! The Lodge is very spacious and well furnished. The huge kitchen had everything we needed! We used the theater room for our Webinars where the on-line presenters were displayed on the extra large screen. When we would return from evening activities we spent hours in conversation on the decks. We were fortunate to see a mother black bear and her three cubs frolicking in the nearby woods! The sales team said they want to return for our next meeting.

Spent 3 days with 12 couples at Laurel Lodge. This is our second time at this location and the improvements that were made to the cabin made this visit A++. The new theater room was great (it would be nice if it had surround sound). The extended deck was a great hangout space for our large group. The accommodations didn't disappoint. All the couples really enjoyed their stay. Also had a bear to show up two days in a row, once in the parking lot and on the deck. We will definitely be back. The only complaint I have is the ice maker in the kitchen froze up and didn't produce any ice.

We had 24 people total and used every bit if the space and it worked out great. From the gathering space to the media room, new deck and spacious kitchen and eating area; it couldn't of been better. Each bedroom having it's own bathroom was a big plus!!! The check in process and people helping with that were very helpful and accommodating also. Good location; just far enough out of town but a real short drive to all there is to do.

We love Laurel Lodge. We have been coming to Sevier County for the past 25 years for an adult family weekend getaway. Sometimes as with most families as we get older we move to other areas and get caught up in our own family routines. Laurel Lodge gives us an opportunity to come together as people, not moms or dads and enjoy each other. The lodge offers enough open space that we can enjoy each other and play games, eat as a group and sit and enjoy the fire and view. Plus the bedrooms are large enough that you if want some alone time, you have a place you can feel comfortable. Most of all we love the kitchen, with a lodge of 12 bedrooms you need to feed a lot of people and this lodge has planned for that; an ice maker, 8 stove top eyes, 2 ovens, 2 microwaves, a large refrigerator and separate large freezer it has it all. Can't wait to come back.

We rented Laurel Lodge, and the one next door (Camelot) for a retreat and can we say it was perfect. The accommodations were so nicely decorated, comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The staff at the office were friendly and treated us like family. It was so close to downtown and the area wasn't effected by the wild fires at all. There were some areas we could drive by where we saw damage but most of that was out of the way from where Laurel Lodge was. Plenty of parking and the beds were awesome. We are already planning for next year. Hiking as a group in the park was a highlight as well as worshiping together in the large lodge area of this cabin.

My family had stayed in the very same unit 15 yrs ago so I was thinking it would be extremely old and outdated however the owners have done an excellent job updating the property. We enjoyed the chalet and it's amenities. Each room having their separate bath was awesome. The only thing I'd recommend them to change well correct is the driveway. The gravel has washed away terribly and there are 2 bad ditches in middle of drive. Making it difficult and unsafe to manevour in and out of the drive. This SHOULD BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY! We had 1 vehicle to become stuck with only 2 tires on the ground. The other 2 just spinning in air from washed away gravel. It was a scary situation but we prevailed. But it should be filled in or paved immediately as it is only going to get worse as the weather gets cold or raining...

The week-end was a good experience. The response from the staff was unbelievable - quick, pleasant and efficient. We have stayed each year from the past 20+. Suggestion - make sure there are enough mugs etc to serve 24. The breaker was not strong enough for stoves, griddles etc. Place mats were missing.

This was the perfect place for my extended family of 22 people. We were all very comfortable since there were plenty of beds, showers and seating. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, etc. We loved the separate ice machine! This was a beautiful location and we had no problems finding the pools which the kids loved. If you need a place to stay for a lot of people, I highly recommend Laurel Lodge.

The house was the perfect spot for a big family reunion. It's proximity to both the national park and the town of Gatlinburg made it worth every penny. We did have a bear visit during dinner while we were grilling and be careful of the road leading up to the house- super steep and not for the faint of heart. The view was fantastic and the staff was extremely helpful with everything we needed. The pictures really don't show how large the house really is! The group was sad that recycling wasn't an option. Overall- great stay- highly recommended!

We had a good time on our trip to Gatlinburg and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Laurel Lodge. Property is well kept and clean. The office staff and maintenance men were very friendly and helpful. The lodges were closer together than we expected, but privacy and noise did not become an issue. Our only complaint with this rental is we chose this particular unit because it was supposed to be handicap accessible. The shower did not have a safety rail inside the stall or a hand held shower head. If these two items were taken care of we would definitely rent this lodge again.

We loved the layout and location of Laurel Lodge. We appreciated being able to get additional linens and towels in the office if needed. The lodge had everything we needed and kitchen was well- stocked with everything needed for a Thanksgiving feast except lids did not match pots. Rooms and barhs were clean but under kitchen sink was rather scary and not clean.

Bathrooms were clean and hot tub nice. Incredible view and decks and we really enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch.

The negatives were that you were closed on Thanksgiving Day. Since we arrived just the afternoon before we didn't realize we needed a couple more towels. Also no remote for TV in game room on BIG football day. We finally found another from another room to work. Maybe you could just open for an hour letting everyone know as they check in. The free bundle of wood was nice as was having additional available. The largest negative were the mattresses were generally uncomfortable and the one on first room on right on top floor had a huge hump in the middle.

Overall, Laurel Lodge gave us a memorable and enjoyable family vacation. Will look forward to a future stay there!

Our group has been staying in Laurel Lodge every November since it was built. We stayed in Smoky's Paradise before that and this group has been renting from Mountain Laurel Chalets annually since 1984. We love this chalet with a bathroom in every bedroom and are very pleased with the accommodations. However, we do have some feedback. There were not enough plates for the 21 of us to eat on, several of the glasses are chipped/broken and need to be removed/replaced, there was not a tub stopper in Evening Shadow bathroom downstairs(and I'm a bath person), we love the icemaker but it can't keep up with our needs. Also, a couple of the TV's did not work so replacement cables were required, which were installed in a timely manner. We understand this is out of your hands due to an ordinance but we would love to have the grills back on the deck. These are minor but we wanted you to know. Love this place and will be back again next year!

We rented this particular cabin because we were having a division meeting with 16 people. Since this had 12 BR's each with it's own bath (which was important) we only needed a 4 BR cabin to top it off. It worked perfectly for our meeting and was clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. The under counter ice maker was an extra special touch with that many people. Just far enough up the mountain to be in the woods (along with a resident bear), but close enough to town to run in for supplies.

We had 12 couples plus for the weekend. The rooms are perfect and the chalet had all the kitchen gadgets you could hope for. The large capacity ice maker did not seem to be working although it had ice in it when we arrived. Fortunately we had brough bagged ice and there is a separate freezer that was able to accomodate the ice. Everything worked out perfect and we woke up Saturday morning to snow that was gone by lunch time but was beautiful.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking my church youth group to this cabin. Everything was clean and the lodge itself is beautiful. My only concern is the location was very difficult to get to with our large vehicles, and could have been problematic if there had been snow or icy weather.

Wonderful place to stay!

This was a great space for our family of 22. Common areas were large and kitchen had plenty of plates and glasses. There was a little issue with it not being ready by 3 p.m. but housekeeping really stepped up and we were fully in by 4 pm. The only bad thing about the rental was the poor condition of the mattresses. When either my spouse or I moved, the whole bed moved. Also, you should remember to bring Kleenex and salt and pepper. Those things were not on the recommended items to bring list sent by the rental company.

The entire family (all 27 of us) found Laurel Lodge a perfect setting for a family reunion. Everything was in perfect shape, all the rooms were neat and clean, and the kitchen/dining room was convenient and well equipped. We could not have found a better place.

During our family reunion, this property met the needs of all of our 26 members. This residence made it possible for all to meet and dine together, yet break away for leisure or entertainment. The bedrooms provided privacy and the bathrooms were a much added asset during our stay.
The concern for a grill to feed everyone was found to be adequate as we used the 3 charcoal grills provided and found useful.
We would definitely recommend this vacation facility to anyone wishing to entertain a big group under a single roof. We look forward to using this unit on the future.

This house has everything you need for a large family get together. So spacious and comfortable and close to town. We absolutely love it and have returned year after year.
