I would like to give out a bear-y special thank you to the Mountain Laurel Chalets staff and family for everything they did to make my families trip to the Smokies the most memorable experience ever. We stayed at the Camelot for thanksgiving to give my grandparents at 85 years old a trip they’d never forget and I can say they were so happy. When we first arrived at the office just walking in getting our info before heading to Camelot everyone was so kind and just good hearted people which you rarely find anymore. Soon as we arrived at the chalet I was speechless! It’s wasn’t but five minutes of being there and we got to see a bear after that excitement lol we walked into the coziest chalet I’ve ever been in we had a pumpkin pie waiting for us and the recliner that I requested to have was there and ready by the fireplace. The view of mountains was gorgeous. I highly recommended staying with mountain laurel chalets if you’re wanting to truly experience the smokies and make unforgettable memories.❤️

My wife and I hosted a family reunion in Gatlinburg and what a wonderful time we had. We rented Camelot because of its proximity to Laurel Lodge which housed a sizable portion of our group. And as always Mountain Laurel Chalets Property Management exceeded our every expectation. Camelot was the perfect fit for our nephew and his family as he needed times of solitude to prepare a Sunday sermon and yet he and his family were seconds away from joining the rest of the group. We all enjoyed bear watching from the decks, hiking in the park, strolling down the parkway in Gatlinburg and enjoying our down time in the most accommodating conditions. The comments my wife and I heard most often as we all prepared to start our journey home were thanks for the best family trip ever and when can we do this again.

We had a great time in Camelot chalet! We found it to be nicely updated/furnished and very comfortable for a family of six adults. The hot tub was large and worked great! It was a pretty easy drive up from Gatlinburg compared to other cabins we have rented in the past. Mountain Laurel is a great rental company. It was nice to be told if we needed anything in way of more supplies to just stop back in at the office. They switched out our propane tank for the grill while we were out for the day which was so helpful! We felt the floors could have been cleaner when we arrived but that was the only negative during our stay. We loved seeing bears every day (did not encourage them). Moonshine tastings, National Park hikes and Dollywood- there's nothing better! We hope to return soon.

Being just about one-half mile up on Ski Mountain is a very convenient location to the National Park entrance and downtown Gatlinburg, yet you are away from the crowds and sounds of traffic. We use this unit as an overflow for Laurel Lodge and it works great, The unit needs some upgrades and the path from the parking lot to the back door is a hazard and hard to walk up. It needs to be repaired and the roots removed.

The cabin is layer out very well. Second cabin we’ve used through you guys and it was the best yet. We got to see black bears in the morning roaming past. It really made our whole family detach from the busy world we are all living in.

This cabin was absolutely perfect. Clean, beautiful, nicely furnished, comfortable. We were even visited by a beautiful black bear that was climbing a tree near our balcony. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect vacation.

Our best recommendation for a rental property is that we would stay there again, and we would stay at Camelot again. That being said, this is not a property for people with mobility issues. The interior steps are steep and the exterior steps are difficult, especially when carrying food, supplies, etc. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious. The hot tub was private and we could use it without clothes. (One must jiggle the box to the left of the glass doors to make it work.) It was also close to the park entrance without a scary drive and had an easy turn around and plenty of space for several cars. We missed having a view of LeConte, but knew that when booking. A great house for families with bedrooms on 3 floors.

Seven family members from three generations spent a week in Camelot and had a great time! The chalet had a few issues, but staff was literally immediately responsive and took care of things with a smile on their faces. I will mention stairs in the home are pretty steep, so be aware. The bedrooms are very small and the furniture could definitely use some updating, but those were just slight inconveniences. The kitchen was well-appointed and, of course, we had a resident bear who visited several times. One day he (she?) laid down below the deck and just looked at us. We felt like he was waiting for a handout, but eventually, when he saw nothing forthcoming, he moved on. Don’t feed the bears!
We had a great time. The grandkids wanted to go to Florida this year, but they’ll be talking about this trip for a long time.

The charm and quaintness of this one of a kind home was not lost on us. Two stone fireplaces, tongue and groove features throughout, quirky architecture, luxury beds, private baths all with attention to detail and charm. The kitchen is huge and flows right into living space. We were told the the outside and deck are the next project and that will take this over the top. For now it’s affordable, incredibly private and so comfortable for 3 couples. Everyone had their own floor. The office staff were so friendly and available to help. We ran out of propane which happens and we had a replacement within an hour. Having a local management company for us made the biggest difference. They were close and available. We’ve felt stranded with other rentals when owner lives out of town or the management company is in another state and you wait on hold for hours. Not with this group. And they even had some fun Gatlinburg merchandise in their office. We will definitely be coming back to Camelot and trying out other Mtn Laurel Chalets properties.

There is no place like Gatlinburg for me. Truly my Second Home! Camelot is a great Chalet and has recently been renovated. Has a seasonal view which worked out great for me this trip! Easy access to Ski Mountain Road! Mountain Laurel Chalets is the BEST management company around in my book! Our visit at the Camelot was wonderful! The location was convenient to Gatlinburg, the National Park, and many trails and horseback riding. The chalet was very clean and private. We did see a mama bear and her two babies as we headed down the road on our way to town one day. It was a beautiful surprise. I would absolutely stay at the Camelot again, but I do have a few suggestions. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. We used the fan on the main level to try and keep the rising heat from heating up the loft bedroom, but what that bedroom really needs is its own ceiling fan. We had to turn the heat down to 66 on the main level, which made it a bit cool for our daughter's room. Also, the loft bedroom could use a bench or something to (1) sit down on when putting on shoes and socks, (2) place a suitcase or bag on. Even some hooks on the bedroom walls or in the bathroom would be helpful to hang up clothes or jackets. Still worth a 5 star rating!

One of the best vacations ever. The cabin is beautiful and spacious. We had everything we needed and the staff was awesome as always. We will absolutely stay here again. Also, we had four bears come by to say hello. We didn't engage and they left as peacefully as they came. It was awesome.

We had a lovely stay at Camelot. The house was very clean and comfortable. Problems: 1 stove burner needs to be fixed and kitchen table top needs to be refurbished. Also, if you are short, bring a step stool to get in the high beds!

Had a great time. Many bears, coyotes, raccoons and even a turkey. Only complaint is beds were very high...had a hard time climbing in. Power went out twice due to a storm but that's mother nature. Will be back next year.

Yes! Camelot is perfect for guests of all ages to enjoy. From grandparents to grandkids, we love for family to come and stay with us at Mountain Laurel. The improvements are amazing, and have only made our guests fall more in love with this chalet.

I will start off by saying that the property management company is very friendly. With that being said, we overpaid for a cabin that was entirely overrated. The towels are the size that fit little kids so if you are a bigger adult bring your own towels. There was no extra toilet paper in the cabin so we had to purchase our own. There was dust and dead bugs under the furniture and hair in the bathroom - cleaning is not one of their best suites. There was no trash can for the bottom floor. There was living bugs all over the place. Overall, highly dissatisfied and would NEVER pay this amount for this cabin. Needs to be way cheaper.

Kelly We are sorry for your poor experience with us. Our standard towels are used at all of our 60 homes and we provide daily exchange of towels at the office (where you checked in) as well as fresh rolls of TP and paper towel. We are sorry you did not see that in the reservation information sent when you placed your reservation. We would also note that your 4 night reservation was booked for the highest rate season over 4th of July and hotels were booking for over $450 a nights for one bed. The market is quite competitive now and our rates remain in line with the competition and certainly lower than hotels. We do service the homes monthly with pest control and the summer heat and being in the woods adds to increased presence of bugs. We are just less than one mile from Camelot and would have loved the opportunity to address these concerns while you were staying with us. Each home is cleaned thoroughly and inspected between bookings. Trash cans can be moved from floor to floor and we would have been happy to replace the trash can had we known, but there is one in every bathroom as well as the kitchen. We do our best to service concerns and we are sorry that these were not brought to our attention so that we could address them promptly.

So clean & cozy!! Great amenities too! Location is perfect - right outside Gatlinburg! Would definitely stay here again & recommend it to family & friends! Just be aware that the road that the cabin is on is a bit steep & has two switchback turns - definitely take it slow.

Our cabin was just outside of Gatlinburg, near the entrance to Smoky Mountain National Park. We had everything we needed, including a hot tub to soak away the aches from a day of hiking. It was a great location and a very comfortable house. I would highly recommend staying here!

Due to pandemic precautions, we never saw anyone from the management company. Our check-in was flawless, however. The only comment I would make is to have a few more washcloths available in the house. There were 4 of us staying for 5 nights and we only had 2 washcloths each. Other than that our stay was very comfortable.

We rented this chalet for the weekend and my best friend and my son and my sons girlfriend had a blast. This chalet is so cute, very clean, and located perfectly. We seen a huge bear the first morning we were there too. I would definitely recommend this. We will definitely be coming back!!

Camelot is a great little cabin with plenty of room for 6 people. It’s a little dated but it’s well worth the cost. We had a great time and the people at Mountain Laurel Chalets were very pleasant to deal with.

The location was beautiful view was really nice overall Nice place, it is in need of some updating. Kitchen is large counter tops very worn and drawers and cabinets definitely need replaced. The lighting throughout the chalet is bad especially in the kitchen. There is no lighting at all over the counter/bar area. Utensils and cookware were adequate we had everything we needed. Carpeting on the staircase were really dirty. Bedding is definitely needs to be upgraded. Hot tub was large and worked great really enjoyed it. If you stay here definitely lock your vehicle. I forgot to lock the doors on our car and a bear opened the door and got inside drug some of our stuff out. Thank God no damage to the car. Made sure we locked them after that!LOL!! Even though the place was “worn” it was a very enjoyable place. We did get about 8inches of snow overnight and the road up was cleared and salted first thing in the morning.

The white Christmas we had this year was beautiful and we are happy the city street crews were able to plow the road quickly so you could get out and about. What a great place to get away and relax. When we arrived at Camelot we saw a very peaceful cabin. The layout is very private. We entered on the bottom floor and we climbed the stairs to the main level and was very surprised to see the grill was turned over. On the morning we left we had a morning visitor. The bear walked up the sidewalk and came and laid down in the yard like a pet. We watched from the deck and the bear kept looking at us put final got up and went down the hill. Now we knew what turned over the grill. Later we saw claw marks on the post. We highly recommend Camelot for a quite family getaway.

This place was wonderful. Great location. We drove downtown for the first two nights and then the second night we took a taxi. I was so bummed that every gets to see a bear when they are there. It was our last morning there and I was packing things up a bit and looked out the door and there came a bear!!! I was so happy and excited! The washer and dryer came in super handy since it poured on our hike one day and we needed to dry our jackets. The cabin was just as pictured. Check in during Covid was easy. They had all our info outside the office door. I loved it and will definitely be staying there again if we ever come back to Gatlinburg!

We stayed in the Camelot Chalet and it is nicely layed out for our family, four adults and two young children. Everything functioned pretty well and we had a great time. We did see several bears and they left prints and scratched on our van during our stay. I even had a young bear approach me from behind while loading the van to leave. He scared easily enough but it was quite an experience.

We stayed during Thanksgiving week cabin was ready when we arrived. Check in was quick and check out the same. Cabin was clean with great location close to town. We enjoyed the hot tub and 3 stories of the cabin provided a private area for all when it was time to sleep. We would stay in this cabin again. Sleeps 6 but plenty of room to enjoy with family or friends who may visit your cabin. Thanks for the great stay to all involved with this rental.

Not many houses on the mountain have a yard and the bears like to visit this yard, so be on the look out and always lock your car doors. We look forward to seeing you again.

Our large family reunion rented Camelot to complement the accommodations at neighbouring Laurel Lodge, which we had outgrown! The staff of Mt. Laurel Chalets continues to be very professional and welcoming. We saw bears up close! Beds were comfy, common areas plentiful, and overall the family members sleeping in Camelot were pleased. The upper level bathroom is a bit of a tight squeeze, but it's hard to find anything to complain about.

The cabin was great for our family of 6! The layout of the house is ideal for sleeping arrangements because the bedrooms are spread out. We loved shooting pool and soaking in the hot tub at night. We saw a mama bear that came right through the front yard and several owls in the evening. The location of the cabin is close to everything. Very clean and the kitchen is well stocked. The only negative was there were several centipedes in the house.

Overall the cabin was nice. The only problem was the mattress on the lower level bed was horrible it visibly sags in the middle, extremely uncomfortable. Great location, quiet.

We stayed in the Camelot cabin from Mountain Laurel Chalets. After a prior wonderful experience with this management company in 2016, we decided it was time to visit one of our favorite family spots again. We could not book the cabin we had prior (located on Piney Butte Road) due to the massive forest fires taking it out Winter of that year. Nonetheless, the Camelot did not disappoint! The name is fitting, as you are perched like royalty on a peak overlooking the land. The amenities were nice (although I would suggest a little more cooking dishes in the future). The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we were treated to all the wonders that the Smoky Mountains had to offer for a restful few days. Unfortunately, it had to end and we are now stuck back in Atlanta and missing our hideaway already. We cannot wait to get back up there!

Chalet was very convenient to downtown but yet still had the isolated far away feeling. The chalet was a nice getaway for the weekend and was clean but felt alittle dated and needed some work to make it one of the best.

Our family really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It had everything we needed and was in close proximity to the National Park. In the future we will likely stay somewhere further from the Gatlinburg crowds and traffic. The cabin itself is nice and secluded for the most part though.

Very nice cabin, love it being so secluded but also close to town. Cabin is very nice on the inside plenty of room, could maybe use couple of more chairs on the deck. Also the gas grill needs new insides to be able to cook on it, one of the burners is rusted out. Also the cabin could use some updated lighting especially in the kitchen. Our experience was wonderful and the cabin was great. We had a great time.

This rental was great! It had everything we needed and having 3 full bathrooms was amazing! We went with another couple and it was like we had the cabin to ourselves most of the time besides sharing the kitchen and balcony areas. The cabin could use a little updating especially with the electrical outlets and lighting but this wasn’t a big issue for us. It was only about 5 mins to the main strip in Gatlinburg and only about the same to access the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which we were super excited about since we planned on hiking most of our stay. The staff were very friendly and sent someone to fix lightbulbs that were blown shortly after mentioning the issue. The property was clean and we loved having the option to exchange our towels and linens daily for clean ones if needed. We will definitely be staying here again and would recommend this cabin and Mountain Laurel Chalets to anyone! Thanks for the perfect getaway!

When it comes to a family getaway, this mountain cabin is really hard to beat. Our family has stayed in this cabin several times and enjoy the mountain feel and still being close to shopping, restaurants, and other activities. We spend Christmas in the Mountains every four years and have had this tradition for over 50 years. Looking forward to coming back in four years from now.

This Chalet is close to town and relatively easily driveway (compared to others I have stayed out in the area). Clean and spacious but a little outdated. Alarm malfunctioned both nights while we were there but reported it so hopefully its fixed. Had 4 adults and 3 kids comfortably.

Everything was perfect during our stay at Camelot. As always, Mountain Laurel did a great job preparing everything for our stay. The cabin was perfect for our family of four. We especially enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking although we did eat several meals out. The proximity to downtown Gatlinburg made running into town for a quick bite or shopping extreme easy.

Great cabin. Not even there a few hours the first day and got to see a black bear cub/young adult walk up the driveway. Great experience, first time in 30+ year got to see one so close in the wild like that.

We enjoyed our stay; however, a service technician had to be called for the gas grill (broken starter), and twice for the air conditioner (part previously ordered) so still without cooling. Everyone we dealt with was exceptionally nice. I would not return to this cabin nor would I recommend it to a friend.

This stay was bear-tastic! We had a young bear visit every evening around dinner time. Got to see him up close but not-too-personal. This chalet is very well suited for a large family with multiple kids and parents. We had a great time in the hot tub and playing pool. This property is quiet and secluded, but still close to downtown activities. Also not far from the club-house & pool. As always, the service from Mountain Laurel was A+.

This is an older cabin. Some of the electrical plugs were very worn out and didn't work. The kitchen is dated and has very old countertops. BUT, don't let that stop you from booking this. It might be old, but it isn't a dump. It has very nice furniture, new smart TV's, cable, wifi, hot tub, and more. The location was perfect. It is up the mountain, but not so far to be a pain. I would definitely book this cabin again.

This was our first time to rent with this Mountain Laurel Chalets. We had to check in after hours and the staff was very helpful with the arrangements to pick up the key. The house was clean and very nice. The location was perfect. We had one instance where we saw some wasps around the hot tub. We called the office and they were there within 10 minutes with spray. We had no issues and we loved the house!

Excellent place! Very nice. This is the perfect cabin because it has plenty of room. All three bedrooms are on different levels. Hot tub was very nice and we just enjoyed the whole overall stay. One thing is if you don't like the curvy "mountain "" roads this one has a couple of pretty sharp turns in the way up. Also we had bears show up all three nights! "

This was absolutely the best vacation booking/stay experience I’ve ever had! From the time I booked to the time we checked out the experience was made so easy. When I called to book I let David know how many people we had and what we were looking for, he knew right off hand what cabin was best and suggested Camelot. The office was so helpful upon check-in and remained patient even after I called 5 times in a row with different random tourist questions. The cabin itself was adorable and provided everything we needed and more. Our group will definitely be back to visit year after year! I would recommend Camelot to anyone looking for an all-around great experience.

We had a great time staying in the Camelot cabin. It was well located, had great views, and was a very comfortable cabin to stay in. It was nicely decorated and the beds slept well. The only complaint was the drawers in the kitchen were not steady. Felt like you had to hold them up when pulling them out to get something. Otherwise it was a great cabin and we would definitely stay there again.

Chalet was very clean. The road getting to it was narrow and winding, but considering it is on a mountain, it's understandable. Chalet needs some maintained done to it. The manager provided great service. The hot tub was very noisy. But other than that, our stay was enjoyable. We did have a black bear show up two nights in a row, which was very interesting. We watched it from the balcony as it came up the yard and stood watching us. It then continued walking around the chalet, then left.

Great stay , Chalet showed its age a bit but was great . Clean , everything worked , Spa was a bit loud and again a bit old but hot and it worked .
Great location , felt isolated when you were in , but actually only a couple of minutes from downtown Gatlingburg .
Guys in the office were helpful , didn't have any major problems , but felt that they would be there if we needed them . Gas on the BBQ ran out and it was replaced within 30 minutes of asking

A great secluded location with a beautiful view. Close drive to downtown Gatlinburg and other activities, but away from all of the hustle and bustle. The hot tub on the patio and the pool table was a plus for our family. Nice to have a kitchen to have meals in instead of eating out all of the time. The bedrooms are very spacious. was nice wish they would make sure things are in proper working order. a.c. was not working when got there but was good about fixing it in about 2 to 3 hr. door locks was not working right door would not open had to have it fix. no tv was in top bed room.

Nice house with plenty of room. There were a lot of wasps in the house, but a fly swatter took care of them. Management said they would be sure to spray when we left. They always take care of any problems. Stayed here in same house 25 Years ago, and it has been updated over the years, new flooring, paint, furniture.
The entrance to the house is different than before, so be prepared to go up steps to get to main living floor.

Everything was perfect, and the management very helpful and responsive. There is actually more room around the cabin than indicated in the pictures. Ample parking and close to downtown and the ski area. Access road has been recently re-surfaced.

What a great weekend in beautiful Gatlinburg Tennessee! My wife and I with 2 other couples came down to celebrate all of our anniversaries together. Mountain Laurel Chalets made this trip very easy and enjoyable. We stayed in the Camelot which was a very short drive to the strip on stoplight #10! The cabin was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our trip. The view was beautiful, with a view of the mountains off the back porch while sitting in the hot tub. If you are looking for a place to say I would recommended the cabin! The management team was very helpful and had the cabin in great shape. Thanks again for a beautiful weekend.
