Upper Alpine Clubhouse - Three clubhouses available to guests of Appalachian Dream Lodge. The Upper Alpine Clubhouse feature two pools, one large and one wade pool with mushroom umbrella. The clubhouse has restrooms and pool tables as well as vending machines. Plenty of lounge and tables and chairs surround the pool.

South Baden Clubhouse - Three clubhouses available to guests of Appalachian Dream Lodge. The South Baden clubhouse features a large family pool and kid pool. The pool deck has plenty of lounge chairs and tables for sunbathing and gathering. Handicap lift is available as well as two tennis courts and a playground. Inside the clubhouse are changing rooms and game tables. ADL is just down the hill from this clubhouse, but not walking distance. There is plenty of parking at the clubhouse.

When you are thinking about a mountain vacation, you probably think “Log Cabin”, tucked away in the beautiful forests of the Smoky Mountains. If so, you are thinking about Appalachian Dream Lodge! You may remember this cabin as "Lucky D Lodge". It has new owners and has been recently remodeled with new flooring and furniture. They love sharing their home in the Great Smoky Mountains so expect more upgrades to the cabin to make your stay more enjoyable.

Inside this Gatlinburg cabin, the exposed wood beams convey a woodsy theme, while leather sofas and the large flat screen television gives today's traveler what they are looking for. Sit, relax, and enjoy cable TV through AT&T U-Verse, Showtime, Sports Channels. New ceiling mounted 46" Sony TV with stereo in the living room. The cabin also offers high-speed internet for gaming and multiple users, as well as a wood burning fireplace you can curl up in front of after a cold day on the slopes. The kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you need to cook and serve you own meals, just bring the food. For you coffee lovers, there is both a Keurig and drip coffee maker, bring your own filters/pods and coffee.

On the main floor, there is a handmade wooden dry bar tucked near the stairs which provides a nice spot to enjoy drinks with friends and family, watch your favorite shows or game on the large flat screen or enjoy a game of darts. Also on this main level, you will find a private Queen size bedroom with a full bathroom that can be accessed from the bedroom as well as the hallway. Across the hall from the bedroom is an additional private room with a 'twin over full' bunk bed set for extra sleeping and a foosball table for fun!

Upstairs you will find two additional bedrooms, one with a King bed and one with a Queen bed. These two bedrooms share a large bathroom with a shower.

During the day, you can sit outside on the covered porch and watch the comings and goings on the road below, and just enjoy the sounds of nature around you. Occasionally, you might catch the family of bears which frequents the area. The hot tub is located on a private covered porch (just off the living room) so it can be enjoyed in all weather situations.

This cabin sits just off Ski Mountain Road at an elevation of 2,432 ft and is just a short drive to the national park. If you are into winter sports, snow skiing or snowboarding, this cabin is just a few minutes from the Ober Gatlinburg ski resort, as well as downtown Gatlinburg. Another amenity this cabin offers is access to Chalet Village Owners Club. There you can enjoy a large swimming pool, kids pool, tennis courts. and small gym during the summer months.. Though the clubhouse is located on the hill just behind the cabin, we recommend driving around to gain access as the climb up to the clubhouse would be quite a climb.

My friends and I had an awesome stay at this cabin. It is very up to date while maintaining its rustic “cabin in the woods” feel. The property is far enough away from others that you feel secluded. Beds and furniture is all nice.

The cabin looks to be in the middle of reno but i think when it's done it'll be great. The location is not bad. You don't have steep hills to get to it;however, the view leaves something to be desired. The property manager was great. The lock on our door went out and they came out in the middle of the night to give us a key and they came to fix it the next day.

Thanks for the review and we are happy to provide excellent customer service for any issues that arise during your stay. The view is described as "wooded" on the website, so we regret if you thought the view would be otherwise. The location is great for easy access to the ski lodge, downtown, the national park entrance and it's on a bear trail! The owner has been making improvements to the interior of the cabin and has more planned for 2021. We hope you see you in the mountains again soon.

This was a much needed family getaway with our grow children, spouses and grandchild. This was also the first visit to the GSMNP for the kids. This was our, my husband and I, 5th time visiting the Smokey’s and wanted to share our mountain experience with the kids. The Mountain Laurel Chalets staff made our stay very enjoyable and they were very, very helpful especially during these uncertain times. Check in was easy and the staff had everything ready at their offices. Check out was just as easy. We will definitely use Mountain Laurel Chalets in the future. *the reason I put a 3 star for the property condition is because there was mouse droppings in the kitchen cupboards and drawers and we had to wash the kitchen utensils, pot and pans before we could use them. I know this property is in the mountains and surrounded by trees and critters can not be helped to get in, but it really needs to be addressed. The second reason for 3 stars is because the refrigerator was unbalanced and this caused water to collect under the vegetable pull out bins. So, every time we pulled out the bin to get vegetables out water would spill out. We had to put a towel under the refrigerator to soak up the water. The third reason for 3 stars is the dart board doesn’t work. And the fourth reason is the hot tub jets need to be fixed because the jets do not put out much power. The fifth reason for 3 stars is because the downstairs bathroom door jams need to be fixed because the bathroom door leading into the bedroom wouldn’t close at all. The mattresses on the bunk bed, top and bottom, were lumpy which made for a very uncomfortable & unrestful nights sleep. Very thankful there was a washer and dryer and WIFI.

Our family really enjoyed staying at this beautifully decorated cabin. There were several different options for sleeping including a set of bunkbeds. We saw bears in the area almost daily. There was a porch with a hot tub which was enjoyed by all.

The bears almost certainly have a trail from the top of the mountain down to the valley, right through your yard. Just remember to lock your car doors! My husband and I had a wonderful week in the mountains. We arrived a day after my birthday. This is the second time we chose Appalachian Dream Lodge for our vacation. We love the location because we get to see so many bears. This time did not disappoint us, we saw more bears than we have ever seen. I trust Mountain Laurel Chalets to have the cleanest and nicest cabins you could ever want and have stayed with them for over 20 years exclusively. I would recommend any cabin they are renting, each one we have stayed in was spotless.

My husband and I took our 2 sons, ages 21 and 18, up with some of their friends for a couple days so they could ski, we could enjoy the alone time in the cabin, and take a stroll or two through Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Just our luck, it rained our entire time we were there so the boys didn’t get to go skiing, but that didn’t damper any of our time. We all enjoyed the covered porch, the kids LOVED the hot tub area (that’s a great little private area, yet still has some views), we enjoyed the dry bar after our trip to The Island for some wine and shine &#xD83D;&#xDE09;, but most of all, we enjoyed the cleanliness, quietness, and amazing comfort of the house. We can’t wait to visit Appalachian Dream again soon!

The home was large and spacious for the 7 adults and 1 child that stayed for about a week. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and being entertained by the mama bears and babies (1 mama and 2 little ones, another mama with 3, and a third mama with 4 babies!) The house was in need of some updates. The steps into the house are a little awkward—especially the very bottom step. This could be an issue for elderly or people with hip or back problems. Most items worked, but the knob on the washing machine was nearly impossible to turn to the proper setting (and the knob is no longer marked since it has apparently been scratched and warped through the many years). The light in the bathroom shower sometimes turned on and sometimes didn’t. People staying, may want to bring a shower/tub mat to keep from slipping in the downstairs tub (it gets quite slick when there is any soap or shampoo on it’s surface). The lock on the bathroom door from the downstairs bedroom didn’t really lock. While overall the house was useable and comfortable, it just seemed to be getting rather outdated and in need of some freshness such as new mattresses, new bedding, appliances, attention to locks, plumbing (under kitchen sink), loose deck boards, tightening screws on handles, repairing the laundry room door (keep it on track), etc. The amenities such as the hot tub and pool access were nice for our family. Also the location was great. Far enough to enjoy some quiet, yet close enough to Gatlinburg so that a quick drive would get us downtown. I would only recommend this property to relatives or a friend with the knowledge that the place needs some attention.

The home is in a great location. Ample room for family or friends with four bedrooms. Hot tub was nice. Appliances work fairly well. Beds are comfortable and master bedroom is huge. There is parking for three cars easy, four is doable. Our only complaint is that HBO was advertised but not available. We were planning on watching an HBO end of Series show the last night of our vacation. Other than that we had a fantastic time and even saw a bear on the property.

Thanks for the comments and you are absolutely correct - the owner switched cable providers and now offers free Showtime instead of HBO. The website has been updated and I hope you've seen the last GOT (although I was thoroughly disappointed at how it ended, but that's just me).
The bears are EVERYWHERE this have had a bumper crop of bear cubs and there is a momma with four cubs who is often seen roaming around in that area.

The only complaint that I have is that there was a very limited supply of trash bags and dish-washing detergent. This would not have been a big deal if the office was not 10-15 minutes away. I don't understand why this was a problem, but I guess that most people don't stay for a week or always eat out while visiting.

I always enjoy staying in Gatlinburg T.N. and staying with Mountain Laurel Chalets is just the cherry on top. This cabin was a place that made me feel like we were away from all the crazy things in life and it made us feel like it was just us and that is always a great feeling because life gets crazy and when we were here we just wanted to be a family and focus on what really matters in life, each other and our loved ones. We will always stay with mountain laurel and we will stay here in this cute home again. If we had the means to stay more then we would, but this is a place that you should stay because you have to stay here to understand. Words can not explain what this place has to offer!

Very relaxing time in a very comfy mountain home. The lovely Christmas decorations and the warm fire added a special touch to our nights. Our family was delighted with our choice of the Appalachian Dream Lodge and would certainly return.

Easy, just the way I want a vacation to be! Any issues/problems/questions that we had were taken care of immediately. Loved the bears making their nightly rounds. Loved the place, all 9 of us did! Will be back when we can.

Thanks for the review. We regret you had problems with the living room television, but we were glad we were able to get A T & T out right away to resolve the issue. Make sure those car doors are locked when the bear parade starts! See you again in the mountains.

Great home. The only thing it needs is updated appliances. Stove burners barely work. There is no dust pan and the lights in the hot tub don't work and no headrest. But overall this was great vacation house and we had a blast.

Thanks for the comments. We greatly appreciate any feedback from our guests, as we might be unaware of an issue. The stove eyes were not firmly pushed into the socket, so all is well. Please let us know if there is any inconvenience to you when you stay in one of our houses. We have maintenance on call every day from 8 - 4 to assist our guests. We want to exceed your expectations!

We all really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We loved seeing the Bear in the driveway right after we arrived. Cabin was beautiful and gave off the comfortable feel we were looking for. Our only concern was the rugs. We all tripped over them a dozen times. The one by the bar is turned up on the edges and just for future clients those probably need to be fixed. Staff was very nice and helpful. Thanks so much and we would recommend this canine to anyone.

We are glad you enjoyed the cabin and appreciate your suggestion about the rugs. The owner has installed rug grippers so there are no longer any turned up edges. Thanks again and we look forward to your next visit to the Smokies.

We love the Smokies and Gatlinburg. We have spent many of our vacations in the Smokies and have tried other rental companies but always come back to Mountain Laurel because they treat us like family and they always help with any problems. If you are planning a trip to the Smokies, you should stay in a Mountain Laurel chalet!

It was a great experience, from the staff at Mountain Laurel to the beauty of the cabin. The visit from 2 different set of bear family was one of the highlights of the trip.

Thank you for the review. It is always fun to see the bears and Appalachian Dream Lodge gets it share of bear traffic. Always remember to lock your car door, as they can get it.
