We loved our stay here. This was our anniversary trip and when we arrived the hosts had a cheesecake surprise waiting for us in the fridge. It was so nice! While the road to access the house was a bit more windy than i’m used to, it was a beautiful drive. We will definitely book with them again.

We have been renting cabins and chalets from Mountain Laurel Chalets for 15+years. We cannot say enough about them; they are the best. Our cabin, Friar's Fifth, was a bit of a disappointment compared to others. The furniture is outdated and not very comfortable. There are only 2 chairs on the porch area so not enough if there are more than 2 people staying. It smells a bit musty and old, with no view of the mountains. There are only the 2 bathrooms which are located in the bedrooms. We can appreciate the history behind this cabin but will not stay here again. I spend hours reading peoples reviews before I finally decide on booking. Unfortunately, this cabin was not what we were expecting. We will continue to rent from Mountain Laurel Chalets but I wanted to provide an honest opinion.

Beautiful and clean space in a semi-private setting - there are two other houses sharing the same driveway. Not enough parking for more than 2 vehicles, which wasn’t an issue for us. Host is very responsive and accommodating with a main office close to downtown Gatlinburg. The only thing we noticed was that the dryer is missing an indicator on the dial leaving us to guess what setting/time we are using. The kitchen could also use more cookware/cooking utensils if guests are primarily eating in.

Definitely coming back. The cabin was beautiful, close to two other cabins, but still very private. We couldn’t decide whether we wanted to spend all day on the beautiful porch or being comfortable inside the beautiful cabin. Cooking was easy to do too which was nice.

What a great stay! It’s was very clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen. Chris was very helpful and nice. I loved where it was located, driveway is a little tricky but it was an adventure! We got to see a bear next to our vehicle. Hot tub was great at night when it got colder. I definitely will be staying with MLC again.

We stayed at Friars Fifth and it was so cozy and charming. The communication and instructions were on point. The place was very clean which is a must for me. The view was nice and we got to see a black bear and a coyote. The jacuzzi was on the deck making it very convenient to get right in and relax. Also loved the rockers on the deck to sit and listen to nature. A great place!!

This cabin is a slice of heaven on earth. The quiet, mountain location provided for a quiet, peaceful vacation . We enjoyed the serenity of the rocking chairs on the porch for early morning coffee. The inside of the cabin is well appointed, clean, and cozy with plenty of room for four people. We had everything we needed for a very relaxing stay. Perfect!

The charm of this cabin is phenomenal. Perfect for small family or in our case another couple. The cabin has anything you would need. Super clean and just perfect. The touch with the donut friar mugs makes you feel the history of the cabin. Went out bought one of those same mugs last year. This year we got another mug from the donut friar with the mountain flowers. Just an awesome home away from home

My husband and I and another couple stayed at Friar’s Fifth September 20 through 25. What a wonderful stay! The location is peaceful and quiet. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The cabin is clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch to begin and end our day. This cabin had everything we needed for our stay. We even had a bear sighting! It doesn’t get much better! Will definitely be back!

We chose Mountain Laurel Chalets per a recommendation from a former customer. I can confidently say we were not disappointed. The property is well taken care of and was very clean. It has all the amenities that you could possibly think of and if you need anything the staff was always very helpful.

We absolutely love Friar’s Fifth and Mountain Laurel Chalets! This was our 2nd time staying in this cabin. We have stayed in several others I’ve the years but this has quickly become our new favorite. We love the atmosphere & the recent updates too! Now I want to remodel my kitchen at home!

The only issue we encountered was that the downstairs shower needed to have the shower head replaced. Otherwise a wonderful time!

The cabin was very clean. We liked the location and really enjoyed the front porch rocking chairs. The beds were comfortable . Our only suggestion would be better living room furniture. The couch was very uncomfortable. The chairs weren’t much better. The living room tv was too complicated to use.
We saw a mother bear and 2 cubs. They tried to get into our suburban but it was locked.
