SPEND SPRING BREAK IN GATLINBURG

Spring is a great season in Gatlinburg. The snow begins to melt away, the flowers begin to bloom, the weather starts to warm up, and the parkway fills up with visitors and tourists from all over the world. Winter season is officially over and Spring Break has arrived.

If you haven’t yet experienced spring in the Smokies, make sure you don’t miss out on it this year. It’s truly one of the most beautiful times of year in the mountains with all of the trees budding and flowers blooming. Hikers will appreciate the trails as the colorful wildflowers bring even more beauty to the mountains. As the flowers begin to color the trails, the city of Gatlinburg comes back to life as visitors flock to the parkway for a day of shopping and excitement.

This is a very popular time of year for vacationers so consider these tips when booking your spring break vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains:

Book early

Although different schools have different spring break dates, the weeks of March and the first weeks of April are the busiest; so be aware that chalet and cabin rentals will book up fast. Mountain Laurel Chalets has many different properties to accommodate your family. From a basic 2 bedroom for a family of four, to a 7 bedroom for a group of friends, to all the way up to a 12 bedroom! Currently, we still have many properties available for those upcoming weeks however they are beginning to rapidly fill up so don’t wait!

What to do

It’s easy to find family-friendly activities in Gatlinburg. The Gatlinburg Parkway is filled with exciting attractions such as the Space NeedleOber Gatlinburg Aerial Tram, various Ripley’s attractions and so much more. If you’re looking for an adventure, horseback riding at the Sugarlands Riding Stable in the National park is a fun way to spend an afternoon. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers so many different opportunities for you and your family to enjoy a day outside. Along with hiking you can visit Cades Cove, drive up to Clingman’s Dome or pack a lunch and have a picnic in the park. Whatever you have planned make sure to start your day at the Sugarlands Visitors Center
