EXPERIENCE EASTER AT OBER GATLINBURG

Imagine starting out your Easter morning with the most beautiful view of the sun rising over the Great Smoky Mountains.

If you’re spending your Easter weekend in Gatlinburg this year and looking for a worship service to attend on Sunday morning, we might just have the perfect place for you. Ober Gatlinburg is hosting their annual Easter Sunrise Service on Easter morning. The service begins at 6:30 a.m. in Ober’s mountain parking lot, overlooking the mountains and facing into the coming sunrise. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be moved indoors.

The Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway will operate free of charge for all those attending the sunrise service. The tram will depart from downtown Gatlinburg at 5:30 a.m. and will continue to transport visitors in 15 minute increments until the service begins. If you prefer not to take the tram, guests are more than welcomed to drive to Ober themselves where complimentary parking will be provided. For information on directions call 800-251-9202 or click here.

The service will last 30-40 minutes and be led by local pastors from the Gatlinburg Ministerial Association. A breakfast buffet will be available after the service at the Seasons of Ober Restaurant from 7:15 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The cost of the buffet for adults is $14.95 + tax and $12.95 + tax for children 10 and under. Children 4 years and under eat for free.

The buffet will include breakfast favorites such as an omelet station, pancakes, bacon, french toast, breakfast potatoes, cinnamon rolls, and so much more.

By 10 a.m. you’ll have a heart full of worship, a mind full of beauty and a tummy full of breakfast! This will allow the rest of the day to enjoy Gatlinburg with family….or for a quality afternoon nap.

The Easter Sunrise at Ober is a good option to consider when thinking about where to spend Sunday morning. However, if you’re looking for something a little more low-key the City of Gatlinburg has variety of churches in the area that would love to have you.
