Cottage View for 2

I rented Cottage View for 2 to celebrate my husband’s birthday and relax. It was EXACTLY as the pictures show it-simply BEAUTIFUL. The atmosphere was serene, view was SPECTACULAR and everything was CLEAN. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking, dining supplies…they thought of all the details! I adored the cottage and so did my husband, he loved sitting on the balcony reading in the early morning hours. I also think Mountain Laurel Chalet is an EXCEPTIONAL business with the best customer service I have experienced in a LONG time, they offered a personalized touch before, during and after our stay. Even helping me w balloons in the cottage before we arrived. When we return undoubtedly we will rent thru MLC they are beyond compare and I would trust any property they manage.

This was our first time staying with Mountain Laurel Chalets and we loved it. We were celebrating our anniversary and stayed in A View For 2. It was beautiful and very clean. The view was amazing. We’re already planning our next trip for my husband’s birthday. We have stayed at numerous chalet and cabin rentals, I would definitely rate MLC number 1 if you’re looking for a getaway.

This one doesn’t disappoint! From its incredible view to its convenient location, just minutes to downtown Gatlinburg you cannot do better! It is amazingly quiet, the perfect place for a cozy, relaxing get away. This chalet is impeccably decorated and very clean. The parking is level for ease of entry. The reasonable rates make it the perfect place to return to time and time again like we do. If I could give it more stars I would!

Cottage View for 2 was the perfect getaway for my wife and I as we celebrated our anniversary and made final preparations for an upcoming family reunion in Gatlinburg. What a wonderful time we had in the peace and solitude of the area. We are seasoned visitors to the Chalet Village area but what a surprise my wife had while enjoying her coffee on the front porch the first morning and discovered the sniffing she heard came from a bear and not a dog. She quickly went inside and took every picture she could of her newfound friend through the glass front door. Of course, Mountain Laurel Chalets Property Management went overboard to make us feel welcome. We have made many trips over the years to the Chalet Village area and will gladly tell anyone, there is no better rental company in the area than Mountain Laurel Chalets. They are the best and Kelley and Pam in the front office are the best.

Have stayed at Mountain Laurel Chalet properties multiple times and the experience is always wonderful! They make everything so easy! My wife and I returned this time for our 25th wedding anniversary. Our first stay at Cottage View for 2 and it is amazing!! The owners provide everything needed and clear instructions on where things are and how to use them. The bed was super comfortable and the cabin was super clean and beautifully decorated. The view is absolutely jaw dropping and better than the photos!! The fall colors around the cottage were gorgeous with Mt. Leconte in behind! A photo taken from the balcony is now the background on our computer. Thank you for helping us make our 25th anniversary a trip we'll never forget! We plan on returning to Cottage View for 2 in the future!!

The place and view were GORGEOUS and so luxurious. The check-in was easy and the employees were very kind and helpful. My only complaint is that the website shows in the photos that a hot tub is at every cabin on the porch, but there was no hot tub. It would be better to remove those photos as they are inaccurate. I packed a bathing suit just for this so it was disappointing.

We're so glad you had a great stay, Heather. While the majority of our properties do have hot tubs, not all of them do. CVF2 has never had a hot tub listed or represented in photographs, but there IS an indoor jacuzzi tub. We hope you were able to enjoy that!

We rented this house for our 48th wedding anniversary for a long weekend away. So lovely, so comfortable and such a great view! So nice to sit on the porch and just relax, have dinner, and watch the ever-changing shadows over the mountains. After day hiking, it was such a treat to return. We spent four days here through Christmas and we’re very satisfied with the whole experience. The view is awesome and that was the most important aspect of why we chose this chalet. What a great Cottage to stay in. Easy to find and plenty of parking space. Just be careful turning onto Garrett Drive (sharp right turn up hill). Loved having a gas fireplace, pool table and hot tub. Very quite place and just right for a couple. At night in the hot tub we could see the tram coming up the hill. We've been coming to the Cottage for the past five years and hope to continue.

If your looking for a beautiful home cleaned immaculately with a priceless view, look no further. My husband and I loved the location to downtown and the park. We were able to see a bear in the area. The bed was amazing as well as the hot tub. Pool table added so much fun. Check in and out was simple, We are definitely planning to return.

We had a very relaxing time. I just wish I would have had more than 3 nights to enjoy everything that Tennessee has to offer. We had a couple of visits from a neighborhood bear and a chipmunk. Beautiful home in the perfect location (LEVEL PARKING, which is practically impossible to find in the area!), incredible view, spotlessly clean, immaculately decorated and exquisitely furnished. Location of the cabin has a nice view. The cabin its self is good however appliances are s bit dated. The sofa and loveseat definitely need to be replaced as they have given all they have and the seating is shot.

Our vacation got cut short because of a family emergency but we had an amazing few days. Our first night the mountain was blankets with snow. The view was stellar and the accommodations were perfect. The only minor issue was the upstairs fireplace did not work. We would definitely rent there again.

Every time we have made a trip to Gatlinburg, we have stayed at the Cottage View For 2. We love the location and how close it is to downtown Gatlinburg. However, the chalet is in some need of renovation and we will be looking for another location on our next visit.

It was a very enjoyable, relaxing time. But after a few days you really start to look at things more. It needs updating and a deep cleaning. The upstairs bath needs remodeled and around the shower the molding was very dirty. It’s only been surfaced cleaned. I dropped something behind the nightstand and therefore had to move it. No one has cleaned back there or behind the bed in years. There was a dirty sock back there and a lot of other who knows what! I try not to give bad reviews, but the owners need to be told or MLC. We only went into town once and it was so crowded we said forget it. Couldn’t even find a place to park. I had no idea Gatlinburg was that commercialized. I have to say it was over the Christmas Holiday, but there was no social distancing going on and not much masking either. Though the wait staff and merchant service people were masked.

We deep cleaned every chalet at the beginning of May and there has been lots of traffic but still there is no excuse for the condition behind the bed and the night stand. We will notify the owner about the bathroom as well. Thank you for taking the time to give us constructive feedback. We spent our 25th wedding anniversary week in one of your cottages with a Mountain View. It was an amazing week. We didn’t feel comfortable down in the city as Covid 19 was still an issue and the crowds didn’t seem prudent since we are both high risk. The cottage was perfect and the park was amazing. This was our 3rd stay with Mountain Laurel over that 25 years. They have always been amazing and a great value.

Yearly vacation in the Smokies for the wife and myself.
Cabin was very clean. Unit was decorated almost exactly to our own home.

Only two housekeeping issues that we noted, is we wished there was some sort of step/step stool next to the hot tub. Maybe somehow situated next to the hook for the cover strap, (that hook husts when you catch your toes on it).
Also, there is a number of nails in the deck boards that worked there way out, and need to be reset or possibly replaced with deck screws.

As always, Mt Laurel Chalets are a pleasure to do business with. No problems! When we decided to go to the Smokies, the weather was a mix of sunshine and rain. Of course when we get down here, rain till we leave however there is beauty in that as well. The chalet was very comfortable. It was cozy, comfortable and private. The view is absolutely wonderful! We were able to see it the afternoon we arrived, afterwards nope. Too many clouds. Everything was clean and ready to go. Again, we never had problems with MLC and use them exclusively! You can’t go wrong.

This is the perfect place for a couple. Everything you would enjoy (hot tub, pool table, etc.)is here. Decorated very nicely and the place was clean. You have a nice view in a good location. The parking is easy and on a level area, but be careful making the sharp turn onto Garrett Drive where the Cottage is located. Our second time here and we will return again. The chalet, high above Gatlinburg yet only 5 minutes from downtown, offered a quiet respite after a week traveling Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The chalet is perfect size for a couple, with a huge master bedroom along with a spacious kitchen and living room. Awesome location, superb amenities and all in all, perfect.

What an amazing vacation! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The house was wonderful. We could not have been happier with our rental. The views are spectacular from this house. We even saw 2 bears down the mountain from the road. The driveway is level. It is not a difficult drive to get to this house. I would recommend this house to everyone. We will definitely be back! The house was very clean. The bed is extremely comfortable. My only recommendation is that they put in a magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin very much. Despite being in an area with other properties, it felt very secluded with an awesome view! The only incredibly minor downside (since my husband drove) was the drive up the mountain to get to it, but he got used to that after a couple of days. The roads are narrow with sharp hairpin turns. The view was worth it.

Thanks for your comments. Actually, the road leading up to Cottage View are among the widest on the. mountain! It is necessary to get higher up on the mountain to be rewarded with that VIEW! I'm glad he got used to it after a couple of days, most people do. Come see us again.

Cabin was very nice, great location and view, no issues at all with the property. I have a big problem though with the rental company charging us another $29 fee after the quoted fee was paid. It was for a 'damage policy ' that wasn’t shown in the quote. I suggest everyone request that the Total Cost be disclosed prior to booking/paying or you will get a call/email demanding more money!

This place is perfect for two people and so easy to get to with a level parking area. A beautiful view of the mountain and you can see the tram best at night with their lights on. The Cottage had one of the best king bed mattress we've slept on (when we travel); everything you need in the kitchen.

Yes we found the facility to be excellent. it was well kept and clean. The view is awesome. The one comment that we do have is that the new home being constructed along the same driveway, now impacts the privacy of the Cottage View for 2. There is now car traffic and people walking directly up the driveway in front of the hot tub on the upper deck. This will make us think twice about renting this unit again as we will look for something more private with the same view. if you have a suggestion in this regard, please pass it along to us. The management people at the office were all quite good and friendly.

Fantastic place to stay in the mountains. The place is well updated, well cared for, and offers a view that you can never get tired of. The kitchen was fully equipped allowing the preparation of any meal you want to prepare. The pools were fantastic. Actually, everything about our stay was fantastic. Be mindful of the bears. One evening I was sitting on the front porch reading a book when out the corner of my eye I sensed movement. To my surprise there was an adult bear not 5 feet from me walking right next to the porch. I got up very slowly so as not to startle it and made my way inside the house. It simply just kept walking across the front of the house and into the woods. It paid no attention to me - but it needs acre the heck out of me. On another occasion we were sitting in the hot tub when down below we observed a bear cub walking across out front. We also seen deer and wild turkey. We will definitely return in the future.

Cottage View was the perfect home for our 35th Anniversary. We love this bright cheery home. The view of the mountains is just amazing. We loved watching the sun rise, and the stars at night. Sitting in the hot tub after a day of hiking, looking out at the gorgeous view was so relaxing.
The home is clean, and well stocked with everything you need. The Mr. Coffee was the fastest coffee maker! Perfect for watching the sun come up. The stove could use a little work, the burners were a little lopsided.
We are looking forward to celebrating many more Anniversaries in this lovely home. It was perfect !

We've stayed in several different chalets above Gatlinburg and Cottage View for 2 was one of the nicest we have stayed in. It is beautifully furnished and decorated with upscale appliances. It has a great view and is one of the easier chalets to drive to. On the negative side, it does sit close to an intersection of two roads so you do hear more traffic when sitting outside. All in all it is a very comfortable and cozy chalet and perfect for a couples get a way. I'd recommend it.

Pros: Exceptional view of the mountains, No other cabins in sight, Close to Gatlinburg and Ober Gatlinburg, Close to a good pizza place and market, Cabin was beautiful, All rooms were designed well, Cabin heated up quickly, We were 99.99999% satisfied.
Cons: There were dead ladybugs around the edges of the carpet and no dish soap.

The chalet was so cute! The interior is beautifully decorated and was so welcoming in blues and yellows. But the best feature is the awesome view from the porch and the balcony upstairs. I loved being out on that porch. The location of the chalet feels like you are the only ones on the mountain even though there are other homes nearby.

This chalet was exactly as pictured in advertisements and extremely clean. It is convenient to downtown Gatlinburg and all area avtivities, yet affords privacy and a spectacular view. We wanted to spend a week away from the world, locked in a cabin without visiting attractions or restaurants. This cottage had an extremely well equipped kitchen, amazing views, and lovely walks on and around the property. We enjoyed the hot tub, the jacuzzi, the balcony above and the view to Mt. LeConte. The front porch also afforded views all day long. If you are looking for a get away cabin to enjoy long lazy days, good books, the ability to cook your own meals...this is the cottage for you!

The front door lock was not working very well and needs to be replaced.
The microwave does not work properly and needs to also be replaced.
We were able to work around these issues but if fixed or replaced would have made a good trip even better. We would not want to stay in this Chalet again until these things were addressed.

Everything was wonderful... We stayed for four nights, it was quiet and cozy and fairly easy to get to. Everything was clean and well kept and I would recommend this Chalet to anyone.

Cottage View For 2 was everything we expected and more. The chalet was very spacious, clean, and had great amenities. The view is spectacular, and I would suggest this chalet if you want a quiet get away. The drive is not bad back to Gatlinburg and all the excitement of the strip. My wife and I had an Awesome time and are looking forward to our next trip back to the area.

Superb layout with excellent views as advertised. Relaxing,quiet and secluded. Easy access to National Park for activities.

We had a great time sitting on the front porch on both levels and just relaxing and viewing the mountains. The road to the house was a little steep and windy for my wife, but once there we loved it.

everything was wonderful, the only view better was at the top of charlies bunion in the smokey mountains. we would recommend this chalet to anyone.
