This was our second stay at Angels Retreat. It did not disappoint. We love booking through Mt Laurel.

It was great and well cleaned, but we was expecting a room that was not there. We did not find the pools, but we did not ask either. It was not marked on the map. The pictures that was on VRBO had the top floor with a game room and a jacuzzi. And that was why I chose to stay in the cabin because of a jacuzzi. There was no jacuzzi and not to mention we was locked out of the basement. We had to call the following day to ask how to get access to it. Someone had to bring us a key the second day we was there. Had amazing view. Bears climbing on your vehicle and was definitely an experience we don’t see in south GA.

Angel’s Retreat had the perfect view for watching the 4th of July fireworks in Gatlinburg from the deck. The staff with Mountain Laurel Chalets were great, fast check-in and check-out. We did have a very up close visit from a bear while unloading our car just minutes after arriving at Angel’s Retreat. We will definitely use Mountain Laurel Chalets for our next visit and would love to stay at Angie’s Retreat again.

Once again, Mountain Laurel did not disappoint! We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway at Angel’s Retreat. Beautiful cabin, with everything we needed for our stay. The cabin was extremely clean and all amenities were as described. The office staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend Angel’s Retreat and Mountain Laurel for your Smoky Mountain vacation!

Once again, angels retreat was our home away from home. The cabin is clean and super cozy! It has all of the necessary kitchen amenities to cook with, plenty of bath towels, etc. The new coffee bar was and added bonus! We spent days in town and nights in the hot tub and playing games by the fire. On our first day, a family of bears came up to the cabin below the porch. They wandered over to a nearby tree and took a long afternoon nap. It was so much fun to watch them all day. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay! We will be back again soon!

We loved this place! Everything was described as advertised. It was very clean, had beautiful views and loved the hot tub and spa bath. We were very impressed with the customer service in the front office that were very friendly, professional and attentive to our needs. We will be returning! I highly recommend this property!

Yes! That is fantastic to hear that you got to enjoy some time with family at Angel's retreat, it is truly the perfect place for that. We love how close it is to town, as it allows you to enjoy what Gatlinburg has to offer during the day, and relax in the chateu in the evening.

The overall condition was good, clean and the view overlooking the City was beautiful.
Initially there were 2 maintenance issues. I called the office and I had a maintenance man at the chalet within 30 minutes. One issue was resolved very quickly.
The other issue was the hot tub not getting to temperature. I was told they just dumped the water for a routine service and it would be okay in a few hours. The next morning I contacted the office to notify them that the hot tub water was still cold. We were away from the chalet all day. When we returned the water was still cold. I called the office and again was told to give it a few hours. Later that evening the hot tub was infact okay. There was no communication or follow up from the office.
The king size bed was the hardest bed I've ever slept on. The mattress pad had several tears.
I understand there are maintenance issues but the lack of communication was poor. PLEASE buy a new mattress!

The cabin did not disappoint! And the wildlife showed off for us. We have been to Gatlinburg many times and stayed in a Mountain Laurel location all but 1 time. I love this company and what it provides. We have never been able to see a bear until this trip and we saw 3 in 1 day right off the deck below where we were sitting, it was simply amazing. The view was peaceful and tranquil, exactly what we needed!

Out of all the cabins I’ve stayed in, this was my all time favorite! It was super clean and the view was incredible. The bed we slept in was so unbelievably comfortable it made mine at home less comfy to us. We definitely will be back!

This place was truly amazing with breathtaking views of the mountains and the downtown gatlinburg lights at night. It was clean and had plenty of essentials in the chalet, full kitchen. There were only a few dvd's though, so if you plan to watch tv you might want to bring some. We didn't watch any though, there was too much to do! We saw bears every day, one of them even came right up to the top of the stairs outside! But he just kept on going past, so it was fine. I would stay here again! We loved it!

The drive up was a bit harrowing, but it was worth every steep hill and hairpin turn to get to Angel's Retreat! It was perfect for our mother/daughter get-away with separate bed/baths and lots of space to spread out. The views are AMAZING, including watching the bears walk by from the deck. Highly recommend and we'll be back!

Yes, the drive up to Angel's Retreat is a bit intimidating, but the stay at this chalet is completely worth it! If steep, curvy, and narrow roads freak you out, this may not be the place for you. Definitely wouldn’t want to drive it in the dark, but we did get used to it. Some updates have been done. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and clean. View is pretty, and we enjoyed the hot tub. Recliner sofas in the family room were very comfortable. The code given to us wouldn’t work to open the door, and office was already closed, but emergency number given on the recording connected us with a woman who was able to reset the code and stayed on the line until we were in. We did several hikes in the area that were great, and visited some wineries. Downtown Gatlinburg gets pretty crowded. While loading our car to head home, we did have a bear that got into our car and broke some wine (thankfully not in the car) and took a bag of slushy mix and a backpack (that ironically only had bear spray in It!). My husband chased him off before he did any damage to the car, but apparently he did damage to the car of our neighbors two doors down. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at Angel's Retreat. The house is beautifully located at the end of a quiet court. The house was perfectly clean and had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. We had bear visitors three of our five day stay. We did not feed them, we made sure to lock our car doors and we watched them from a distance and enjoyed their beauty from the wonderful deck. We sat on the deck every evening and enjoyed the gorgeous view and birds all around us.

The view was great. The cleanliness was not up to standard. 2 of the 3 balcony doors were very problematic to secure. The downstairs door to the laundry room was unsecured and we were never given keys to the laundry shed and the doorway light to the laundry flashed the entire 4 days we were there. Closets were stuffed with excess domestic items that took away from necessary closet space. The kitchen sink had no stopper. The apartment had a damp smell that was not welcoming. Terrible eye sore of the burned down neighboring property. These were minor details that simply appeared to be overlooked. I would recommend the property after these issues were corrected. We did enjoy traveling to Asheville, NC to the Biltmore mansion(83 miles away)

Thanks for the review and we hope you enjoyed your stay in the Smokies. We will check the sliding glass doors and the motion light downstairs to insure they function properly. Since we have transitioned to keyless entry locks and no keys are given out, the laundry area is left unlocked because the only thing inside is the washer and dryer. The items in the bedroom closets are linens that were taken off the beds at the start of covid. Instead of using the owner's blankets, we are providing a freshly laundered blanket for each bed between rentals. Housekeeping will check the cleanliness, the issue with the kitchen sink and investigate the damp smell, which is very usual for that house. The house at the end of the street did suffer a small fire during some remodeling a year or so ago, but that cabin is not on our program and is beyond our control. It is more noticable when the leaves are off the trees in winter, but hardly noticable once spring arrives. We hope you will give a call the next time you plan a trip to the mountains.

The Angels Retreat Chalet is awesome. It has an incredible view. The jacuzzi on the top floor is huge, and it had all of the amenities that we needed. However, the weather outside was in the mid 80’s and our A/C wouldn’t get down below 74 degrees during the day. It was very hot. Other than that issue our stay was everything we wanted it to be for our Honeymoon.

We were able to get the system recharged to get through the weekend and the homeowner had the entire system replaced a few days later. Angels Retreat was a great place to stay. The home is well maintained and clean. The staff at check in were very polite. The home has a wood burning fireplace so they give a complimentary bundle of firewood with more available for purchase. They even gave us some apples that were delicious. The hot tub was cold when we arrived but it just needed turned on and it warmed up fairly quickly. The kitchen is well equipped for breakfast and dinner. There is anew gas grill on the deck. We had a wonderful stay and recommend Angels Retreat. Thank you Mountain Laurel Chalet staff and to the owners of Angels Retreat for sharing your home with us.

Angels Retreat is well equipped for a comfortable stay. The property is well maintained and housekeeping does a great job of cleaning. Everything was neat and tidy. The Mountain Laurel Chalet staff were great. The home has a wood burning fireplace so you get a complimentary bundle of wood with more available for purchase. The gentleman who checked us in even gave us some apples which were delicious. We saw bear almost everyday,there was even one on the deck one morning. We had a lovely stay at Angel's Retreat. The view was extraordinary and the chalet was exceptionally clean. The space was perfect for my boyfriend and I to spend 5 nights. The location was amazing; so close to the national park and downtown Gatlinburg. It was a bit scary driving up the steep roads to get to the chalet, but worth it for the beautiful view. Would definitely come back again!

The mountain roads can be a bit tricky if you are not used to driving the terrain, but as you found out, if you want a great view, then that's where you need to be! We hope to see you again soon.

This home is beautiful and makes you feel like home. The views are gorgeous, and the location is great. We had the pleasure of watching 2 little cubs play with one another on the deck, cute but a little scary. The beds are comfy and is equipped with just about everything you need.

It is a good idea to always have both doors off of the deck unlocked in case you need to make a fast getaway. Plus, ALWAYS keep your car doors locked. We stayed in Angels Retreat for the 7th time. This chalet has gorgeous views of the mountain , the city, and the tram. Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the scenery is so relaxing . The chalet itself has all the amenities needed for a great stay. The basement is equipped with a washer and dryer for convenience. Upstairs there is a nice porch to sit on and inside is an air hockey table . During the holidays, the home is decorated for Christmas and the wood burning stone fireplace adds another cozy touch. I love this place and will rent it again very soon!

This was our second time at Angel's Retreat. The view is ABSOLUTELY breathtaking day and night!! We were there for 12 days and thru Christmas. We did get snow before Christmas. We had a bear get in our vehicle but did not do any damage- we forgot to lock car door. Once again we had a fantastic stay at Angels Retreat! The office staff are all wonderful and courteous. They will make sure you are taken care of. The chalet itself is roomy, cozy, and very clean. We enjoyed the mountain crowd from the hot tub, building a fire in the fireplace, and playing air hockey upstairs. Many restaurants and activities are minutes away. This is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation !

The rental property was up to date and very homey. My family enjoyed 4 nights at this home during the Christmas holiday. I love the fact that the home had comfy beds, a spacious living area, and every utensil needed in the kitchen. They even provided boardgames and DVDs foe entertainment. This property was only 7 minutes from the strip and 5 minutes from Ober Gatlinburg so it was ver accessable to family entertainment and restaurants. We even caught an Uber back up to the chalet after walking down the strip. We thoroughly enjoyed out vacation and our chalet. The Hot Tub was fairly new and worked perfectly. The view of the moutains and the strip was amazing. It was absolutely breathtaking. The Jacuzzi tub upstairs was very spacious and my daughter couldn't get enough of it. If I just had to give one complaint it would be that we would have preferred a pool table upstaira vs. the mini Air Hockey table that seemed a little outdated. Other than that....this place was an up-to-date charm in a perfect location.

We had a wonderful stay at Angel's Retreat. The views from the back porch are breath-taking. The house was a good size for us (2 couples), although the kitchen might have been too small if we had tried to cook any meals. The cabin was more than generously supplied with towels and blankets, and everything was clean and bright. You can watch the sunrise over the mountains from the large back porch if you get up in time, and that is a gorgeous sight.

One small oddity: there is an unmarked light switch in the front bedroom that turns off the overhead fan but will also turn off the WiFi.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Angel’s Retreat over the Memorial Day Weekend. We stayed with another couple who were old friends from CA. While the weather was mostly rain we enjoyed many hours of peaceful relaxation together. We enjoyed the visits from the beats on the property one morning too. The scenery was spectacular. The Hospitality App gave me up to date information regarding check in/out, housekeeping notes. The front desk was well organized and the woman was very friendly and informative. The chalet was exactly as the picture, and the sunrise view was breathtaking. Everything was clean, in working order, and the beds were comfortable. Thanks for your comments. We make a point of showing the stairs in the outside photo so people know what to expect. Think of it as a good workout! There is one parking spot at the top of the stairs on the other side of the driveway next to the trash bin. We hope you call us to rebook soon.

My family of 4 had a great time at Angels Retreat. The rental was just as described although the drive up in the rain and fog got a little hairy. The view of the mountains during the day and the city at night were amazing. The kids enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub every night after a full day activities. Due to rain on 2 days of our trip we were only able to get into the park for one hike. We also fit in some zip lining, too. My son really liked the chalet and wanted to stay longer.

Once again we have stayed at this wonderful cabin and have had a flawless vacation. This is the 4th or 5th time my family has stayed here and we love it. The cabin was in great shape and clean. Very nice place love the hot tub had a massive jacuzzi tub was crazy but very nice day view was wonderful Hells are kind of steep but okay would not recommend to a drive in the snow time only thing was that on overview I read was talking about the washer and dryer appliances needs to be updated I see why they can hold me early maybe three days worth of clothes for one person not very big at all you will get a kick out of it how tiny they are other than that very wonderful beds were very comfortable couches or very comfortable

We stayed in November in this cabin, view was gorgeous, not only of mountains, but of lights of Gatlinburg at night. The cabin is luxury style, perfect in every way, decorated to perfection, by far my favorite cabin I have ever stayed in. Only problem for some could be the steps you have to use to get down to the cabin entrance, and a little hard taking luggage down them, but the cabin is worth the steps. Will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The location was perfect; off the main road on a quiet dead end street. Beautiful views of the mountains and downtown. The home was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The washer and dryer were very old and in need of updating. That would be my only suggestion.
This was our fist trip staying in Tennessee and we were pleased to see a black bear on or near the property 4 out of the 7 days we were there. We were in such close proximity to many of the hiking trails and activities in and around town but felt like we were in our own private retreat!
We definitely recommend this cabin and would stay here again.
The management company was very friendly and helpful as well.

Angels Retreat was perfect for our family of five with 3 little boys. The view was fantastic. Hot tub was great! The boys enjoyed the big tub upstairs as well as the air hockey table. The kitchen had everything you would need to fix a meal. We used the grill one night for burgers and it worked great! Prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back! Thanks!!

Once again we have had another wonderful stay at Angels Retreat! I am especially thankful that we had access to the washer and dryer downstairs. This cabin is perfect for our growing family. My older kids and myself enjoyed the air hockey table upstairs. This is our 3rd year in a row staying in this cabin and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The views are amazing and the cabin is like home away from home. I am always impressed with how clean the cabin is. The staff in the office at the bottom of the mountain are all very friendly and accommodating. Never a disappointment staying here!

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon weekend, as we were having our ceremony in Gatlinburg. We weren't1 expecting much from the pictures we saw, but our time there was absolutely worth it. We quickly were able to make ourselves at home. The cabin pretty much provided everything we need: dishes and silverware and pans to cook, board games, a fireplace, a hottub with the most amazing view, a huge indoor bathtub that could probably fit 5 people, and a satellite tv. It was a bit on the pricey side but worth every penny. I would not trade the memories me and my husband have made while staying in this cabin and Gatlinburg as a whole for anything else. I'm so thankful we were able to find this location last minute. The view was absolutely breathtaking to wake up to and watch as the sun would set.
Honestly, the only downside was that the drive was rather windy and the roads are VERY narrow, so driving at night was a no go. But if you can get past the drive, it's the best!

The drive from the main office in the dark was difficult the first couple of times, but got it down pat in no time. We are already looking forward to going back and renting the same chalet next year. Didn't get to see any bears, but that's okay.

The view of the Great Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg from the deck was amazing. Very peaceful and relaxing. The chalet was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We saw bears every day. Mommas with twins, triplets and even a momma with quadruplets. And yes, the bears can climb on to the deck. Keep the grill clean and your food inside! It is their world so respect them and you'll be fine. Loved seeing them. The road to the chalet is a bit steep and winding but it is the mountains and the view and peace is worth it. We will be back.

The view was great, the chalet was nicer than I expected, and it came stocked with more items than expected. Upstairs the jetted tub is almost a swimming pool. It could easily fit 4 adults. The only issues we had were it being difficult to load and unload the car because it was raining and there were very many steps. Also the hot tub didn't get very hot. It would be hot if it were in a regular place however with the wind coming off those mountains it wasn't quite enough. Overall we had a good time.

We enjoyed our trip very much. We always stay on ski mountain and this is the second year in a row we have stayed in Angels Retreat. The cabin is so cozy with great views of the tram and downtown. We like being able to check in on the way up to the cabin. Other cabin rentals we have used years ago were out of Piegion Forge and we would have to drive there to check in and then back to ski mountain to the cabin. That wasted a lot of time that we could have been doing other things. So grateful for Mountain Laurel Chalets!!! I sent my sister down to the office one day to exchange towels and she even commented on how nice and accommodating the staff was. The office itself has a very inviting atmosphere when you walk in. I really do wish there was a discount for returning visitors or some kind of other perk like stay four nights get the fifth night free. Police officer and teacher discounts would be a good incentive too. However, we are going to stay with Mountain Laurel from now on anyway and probably at Angels Retreat. It is the perfect size for our growing family and the kids love the loft upstairs with the big tub and air hockey table. Thanks you so much for everything! Two years in a row and not disappointed yet!!

We ended up renting Angel's Retreat after our first pick was unavailable due to a leak. The drive to the cabin was horrifying!! The house itself was very cute! Everything was nice and clean. We enjoyed the fireplace(which they provided us a free bundle of wood) and the hot tub. The view from the porch was beautiful. We took a nice hike to Abrams Falls and it was magnificent. The eclairs at the Donut Friar were out of this world and we always enjoy breakfast at the Pancake Pantry.

Perfect...had a view, hot tub, cute and clean on the inside, felt private. All the amenities we needed were there. Also appreciated the checkers and air hockey table!

Overall I want to give this unit 4 stars. It was a wonderful stay. Mt. Laurel Chalets is an excellent rental company. We did have a small problem when we arrived-- the previous guest had broken the garbage disposal on the sink. We alerted the rental company and they rectified it immediately. They are awesome.
I do think that the smaller bedroom is the best. The glass doors face east towards the mountains and the most beautiful sunrises. Waking up to see the sunrise in bed was amazing. The lazy bears come around from time to time to stroll past the unit through the woods so nice to see them from a safe distance. Great pictures. I wish I could attach pictures to this review. I guess you are going to have to stay here and take your own beautiful pictures. :-)

Angel's Retreat had everything we wanted for our stay. Great view from the deck and hot tub. The kids loved playing air hockey in the game room upstairs. They also enjoyed the books and board games underneath the TV in the living room. The location was awesome - yes, the drive to the cabin has some steep hills, but how else would you get to see that amazing view? We even saw some bear cubs running around underneath the deck one morning!

Absolutely loved waking up and having coffee off the back deck watching the smoke rise off the mountain while a momma bear and her 3 cubs played right in front of us!This chalet was as comfortable as being at home. Wish this one had a washer/dryer (ONLY complaint!) Would definitely stay with Mountain Laurel again!

I wanted to take my girlfriend on a relaxing stress free trip and thought Gatlinburg to be the perfect place. After searching many cabins, I stumbled upon this gem. First off the ride up the mountain set the stage for what would be the perfect getaway. Angel's Retreat was amazing!! From the moment you shut the door behind you, you feel as though you don't want to leave. The floor plan was fantastic. The king bed was nice and soft, with curtains to close out any morning sun. There is more than adequate space in the living room to watch movies or play board games or take an afternoon nap. From the queen bedroom you could walk out onto the porch to be greeted by the incredible hot tub. Between the open air and the gorgeous views of the Smokey's, I never wanted to leave. Whether it was waking up to see the fog roll over the mountains in the morning or relax in the evening from the hot tub, this was the perfect getaway. Highly recommend this and will return! Do yourself a favor, book this chalet and leave all your worries behind.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was 4 of us including my boyfriend and our friends. Chalet was really nice, and Clean. Not at all far from the rental office but suggestions if you're not used to driving in the mountains try to get here in daylight I was terrified of the hills but the drive was so worth it because it was absolutely beautiful we had neighbors but had plenty of privacy. Few things there a bit of conflicting info between the websites but nothing that made the trip any less enjoyable. There are only 2 TV's one in the Living Room and One in the King Bedroom. the Air Hockey Table on the top floor is there and is working. The Jacuzzi Tub Upstairs DOES WORK There is a Red Button Located Near a plant against the wall right next to a light switch that turns on the Jacuzzi Jets. Very Limited Parking so suggestions that you try to keep it to one car or 2 smaller cars. Hot Tub Worked awesome, Central air felt amazing I love the couches in the living room. There is a line going through the living room TV, it didn't keep us from enjoying our programs it's nothing too bothersome. View was amazing outdoor grill, and fully equipped up to date kitchen. Will definitely rent this cabin again we didn't want to leave.

Angel's Retreat is a neat 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms house WITH a view! With a hot tub in the deck, it is GREAT! The drive up to the house may be a bit long and steep (it is just outside the gate to Ober-Gatlinburg), the view is worth it. We saw a Mother bear with 4 cubs playing from the deck around dusk! The view from the deck was great. We could see part of downtown Gatlinburg (such as the space needle). We could see quite a lot of mountain nearby also.

We loved this little cozy chalet cut on the mountain side. It was a perfect place for my wife and I to celebrate our four year wedding anniversary. The chalet was close to town, but not too close, with a general store right down the road. good view of the downtown, and the mountains. Only regret, wish we could have stayed longer.

The cabin was very clean and very cozy. I was disappointed though how small the water heater was compared to how large the jacuzzi tub was. The main reason my daughter picked the cabin was because of the tub. Also would of liked a TV in the queen bedroom. We enjoyed are stay there other than that.

This was our first time staying at angels was awesome we will be staying there again. The views were spectacular and the cabin was very cozy. We loved the Christmas tree it added an extra touch of home. We look forward to spending the next year at angels retrea again.

My girlfriends and I decided to do a weekend getaway in the mountains and after extensive research chose Angel's Retreat. This cabin is GORGEOUS! The staff at Mountain Laurel Chalets were all super friendly and helpful. The cabin itself sits atop the mountain with the most breath taking view of gatlinburg. The furnishings are very elegant and will make you feel like a million bucks! The beds are extremely comfortable, we didn't want to leave! I will definitely be renting this cabin again.

Stayed at Angels retreat Nov 21, 2014 for a few nights. house was clean and welcoming. Great mountain and above city view from back deck. Had wifi that worked great and was fast. Was advertised on website that it had a pool table but didnt. Office said it was a mistake on their website. It was no big deal for us. My only real complaint was the lighting at the beginning of the stairs going from the road down to house was very poorly lit. Its uneven pavement and if your not careful you will bust your butt, esp carrying luggage. Overall good experience.I would go with this company again. P.S. If you plan on going in winter months, You WILL need 4x4. Very steep hills and hair pin turns.

The rental was nice but the roads getting there were something else. If we knew we would of probably picked another unit. It would of been nice to know that there was a washer and dryer but you will have to go outside and down some stairs to get to it. I think the tub upstairs is a waste. The house was clean and nice

Had a great time during our stay. Saw a bear amble through one evening, stopping shortly to check out the area. A little steep and winding to get to, but worth it. The view is very nice, especially at night from the hot tub. Would definitely come back and recommend to others...
