Schonblick, 1924 East Arolla Court, Gatlinburg, TN 37738
Anniversary getaway

Schonblick is large, cozy, and has great views. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, privacy, and quietness this rental provided. The drive up the mountain as other reviews have said is difficult up a narrow and winding road. You can see the cable car through the trees for Ober Gatlinburg from the hot tub. The rooms are large, the bed is comfortable, the shower is large, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there are board games, puzzles and lots of books. The d├ęcor is focused on bears which are everywhere around the cabin, although we didn't see any actual bears. We would stay here again, and recommend this rental to others.

Anniversary Get A Way

This was my third visit to the Gatlinburg area and my second time renting a Mountain Laurel Chalet property.
The Schonblick was actually recommended by one of the staff and the house did not disappoint. The pictures actually did not do it justice. The one bedroom house was huge, with high cathedral like ceilings and an open floor concept. The bedroom was also spacious and the bathroom was a married couples dream, with double vanities on either side, a huge soaking tub, a separate water closet and a beautiful stone walk in shower. The home was clean and every piece of furniture was in great shape. There were tons of board games and books and the kitchen had a lot of small appliances, (toaster, coffee maker, blender), which was a nice surprise. The view from the porch was amazing, you could see downtown Gatlinburg as well as the mountains. I was able to get some great photos on that porch. It was quiet and peaceful, definitely the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The climb to the property is a bit treacherous, with lots of twists and deep turns, but we were in the mountains after all.
I was a little disappointed that the one day we were able to use the hot tub, (it rained everyday we were there and the porch has no cover), we discovered that the jets weren't working correctly, so we were not able to use it. Also, both of the screens leading to the porch kept coming off the track, so getting on and off the porch was a hassle and there was always the concern that bugs would get inside the house. Beyond that, we had a wonderful stay. We spent most of our time in the house, but when we did go into the city, we found it way too crowded to enjoy, (Memorial Day Weekend). The streets were crowded, the lines for everything were way too long and the traffic was unbearable. We enjoyed dinner at Cherokee Grill and a little retail therapy at the local shops. All in all a great trip and as always the staff at Mountain Laurel was amazing!

Schonblick

Very nice chalet! We actually honeymooned in this one 30 years ago. Would rent again for sure!

Anniversary Getaway!!

My husband and I visited Gatlinburg to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. This cabin was beautiful and the views were amazing. The cabin is very cozy and has a warm inviting feeling. We highly recommend this property. The only thing I would suggest is instructions on how to get the tv up and running.

15 Year Anniversary Trip

Our cabin was perfect!! We had everything we could have needed to cook (but we didn't cook) the cabin was clean when we arrived. Would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a nice place for 2 people to get away. The first few trips up and down the roads kinda freaked me out but after getting used to them they weren't that bad. Did see 3 bear cubs on our way down on Sunday. They were adorable from our truck!!

Laid-Back Weekend Getaway in Gatlinburg

This chalet is true Gatlinburg gem! Spacious, comfortable and even offers a carport that's handy for keeping your vehicle cool on hot days, or keeping you dry on rainy days. The view from the hot tub/deck is a stunning combination of downtown Gatlinburg main parkway surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Very pretty at sunset and sunrise, with all the lights and colors of town against a colorful takes less than 10 minutes to drive down the mountain and onto the parkway, or hang a right and enter the national park. Pam and the rest of the staff at the office are great people and very helpful. They know you are looking forward to your stay and do everything possible to make the experience quick, easy and enjoyable. This town is my favorite weekend getaway and I wouldn't even consider renting anywhere other than Mountain Laurel Chalet Rentals. They are honest, friendly and the absolute best, so why look elsewhere? Save yourself some stress and know that they will handle your accommodations while you enjoy your visit and go make some memories!
